Pollution Characteristics And Health Risk Assessment Of Volatile Organic Compounds In Typical Industries

Abstract/Summary:
In industrial production,due to the heavy use of organic solvents and the low level of protection against occupational hazards,there are often a large number of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in the air of the workplace.Workers who work in such workplaces for a long time will damage their health.This research carried out the detection and analysis of the pollution concentration of VOCs in the printing ribbon production industry,electronic product spray painting industry,packaging material printing industry,enameled wire production and adhesive production industry,and carried out occupational health risk analysis to obtain The carcinogenic health risk(IR)and non-carcinogenic health risk(HQ)of production processes in various industries.It can provide managers with the basis for occupational health management,adopt corresponding control measures for higher-risk production processes,reduce the exposure concentration of chemical harmful factors of workers,and then reduce or eliminate carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks faced by workers.It is also to effectively protect the occupational health of enterprise employees.The main findings of this article are as follows:(1)A total of 80 types of volatile organic compounds were detected in workplaces in various industries,including 38 types of alkanes,accounting for 47.5%,19 types of aromatic compounds,accounting for 23.8%,14 types of olefins,accounting for 17.5%,and ketones 3Species,accounting for 3.8%,two kinds of esters,aldehydes and other substances,accounting for 2.5%;the average concentration of 80 substances is 132.0μg/m3,the highest concentration of toluene is 82605.9μg/m3;11 jobs Among the sites,the VOCs concentration in the printing ribbon production workshop was the highest,88003.5μg/m3,and the VOCs concentration in the finished product warehouse of the electronic product spray coating company was the lowest,99.7μg/m3.The average concentration of the 11 sampling points was 10562.4μg/m3.(2)Applying the occupational health risk assessment method to occupational health risk assessment of workplaces in various industries,and obtaining non-carcinogenic health risks in production workshops in various industries,the assessment concludes that the propionaldehyde HQ value of the spray booth of electronic products is 1.03.The HQ value of-1,3-dichloropropene is 16.6,the HQ value of m/p-xylene at the entrance of the coating production workshop is 1.72,the HQ value of acrolein is 2.45,and the HQ value of acrolein in the other 8 workplaces ranges from 1.67~905.67,all greater than 1,exceeding the acceptance range,there are serious non-carcinogenic health risks.There are 10 places where the non-carcinogenic hazard index(HI)of various chemical harmful factors in 11 workplaces exceeds the acceptable range(ie,greater than 1).The HI values from high to low are: electronics paint shop(924.15),electronics paint Employee dormitory(32.07),electronic product spray paint finished product warehouse(20.87),packaging material base paper warehouse(8.84),printing ribbon production workshop(4.64),coating production workshop entrance(3.12),paint printing ribbon cutting workshop(2.21),Adhesive production workshop(1.94),packaging material finished product warehouse(1.79),and envelope workshop entrance(1.67).(3)The carcinogenic health risk assessment concluded that the IR values of the three chemically harmful factors exceeded the acceptable range by 10-4,which were1,2-dibromoethane in the printing ribbon production workshop,and the IR value was 3.58 ×10-4.The IR value of 4,1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane is 3.54 × 10-4,and the 1,2-dibromoethane at the entrance of the coating production workshop is 9.93 × 10-4,which is high risk.Level,unacceptable;the total value of carcinogenic health risks of chemical harmful factors in two workplaces exceeded the acceptable range,the IR value of the printing ribbon production workshop was 7.1 × 10-4,and the entrance IR value of the paint production workshop was 9.9× 10-4.This is a high level of risk and is not acceptable.
