China is a country that is short of oil,short of gas and relatively rich in coal resources.The development and expansion of coal chemical industry which can replace petrochemical industry with coal as raw material can effectively solve the problem of energy structure in China.As domestic production safety,energy conservation and environmental protection policy is strict,and international economic environment has become increasingly complex,there are such problems as high pollution,high consumption and resource constraints of the traditional coal chemical industry to be being washed out gradually,coal chemical industry enterprise how to in such circumstances to achieve safe,efficient,clean,sustainable development has become one of the important strategic issue in the enterprise development.In view of this,this article to QX coal chemical company as the research object,using the theories and methods of strategic management,the external and internal environment of QX chemical company are analyzed,summed up the company’s external environment of the local government support,project area advantage significantly,the surrounding is rich in water resources,the rapid development of information industry,alternative products is relatively small and high import dependency,and rising coal prices,oil prices fell,the influence of a trade war,the grim situation of production safety,pollution prevention,slowing demand from the downstream industry,the influence of COVID-19 cases such as the threat;In the internal environment,there are advantages such as advanced technology,equipment reserved load to extend the industrial chain,scale effect of the group,and disadvantages such as lack of highly educated and professional technical personnel,lack of young management power,single product category,narrow financing channels,unreasonable utilization of production capacity,and need to improve safety and environmental awareness.In this paper,SWOT analysis is applied to analyze the strategic choice of QX coal chemical company and its main business,and diversification strategy is adopted to develop vertical integration and extend upstream and downstream business.Low cost strategy is adopted for main ethylene glycol business,fine management mode is implemented,equipment operation cycle is improved,energy saving and consumption reduction are achieved,and "safe,stable,long,full and excellent" production is finally realized.Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the enterprise strategy,it puts forward some safeguard measures,such as strengthening the construction of enterprise culture,strengthening the training of internal staff,strengthening the introduction of external talents,carrying out continuous technological innovation,rationally utilizing big data,improving the awareness of safety and environmental protection,and improving the utilization rate of production capacity.This paper has formulated a reasonable development strategy for QX coal chemical company,so that the enterprise can come out from the "start time is the time of loss",improve the enterprise’s competitiveness and anti-risk ability,and at the same time,it can also provide a reference for the development strategy formulation of other domestic coal chemical enterprises.
