In order to meet the increasing environmental protection standards and further improve the effluent quality of sewage treatment plants,a new type of ammonia nitrogen adsorbent was used to improve the effluent quality of sewage treatment plants.The experimental research mainly includes four aspects:Static adsorption characteristics of FZ Ammonia Removal Agent,its adsorption capacity and characteristics under different conditions;Using FZ Ammonia Removal Agent as ammonia removal agent,the effects of two different processes and operation parameters on ammonia removal efficiency were studied;The effects of different regeneration methods and operation parameters on saturation were studied.Regeneration effect of FZ Ammonia Removal Agent;Field tests were carried out on the tail water of a sewage plant to study its operation characteristics and parameters in engineering application.Through laboratory static test,dynamic test,regeneration test and field test of sewage plant,the adsorption characteristics and operation parameters of the FZ Ammonia Removal Agent are obtained,and the following conclusions are drawn:The new ammonia-nitrogen adsorbent has good removal effect on ammonia-nitrogen.Its equilibriμm adsorption capacity is positively correlated with equilibriμm concentration,and its adsorption rate is positively correlated with ammonia-nitrogen concentration.Langmuir and McKay second order equation adsorption isotherms can well describe the adsorption isotherms and adsorption kinetics curves.The formula m=v*(C0-C1)/qe can effectively calculate the amount of new ammonia-nitrogen adsorbent needed when the target concentration is reached at different initial ammonia-nitrogen concentration.The adsorption process of ammonia nitrogen by this adsorbent is a spontaneous exothermic process,in which the removal effect of powder adsorbent is much better than that of granular adsorbent.The traditional filter colμmn and granular FZ Ammonia Removal Agent can effectively reduce ammonia nitrogen.Moreover,the adsorption process of the filter colμmn of the FZ Ammonia Removal Agent occurs layer by layer.With the increase of filtration rate,the service section becomes longer.When the influent concentration is 5 mg/LNH3-N,the effluent concentration is less than 0.5 mg/L.The new powder ammonia-nitrogen adsorbent has larger adsorption capacity than the granular adsorbent.With the increase of dosage,the removal rate of ammonia-nitrogen gradually increases.When the initial concentration of ammonia nitrogen is 5mg/L,the ammonia nitrogen can be reduced to 1.5mg/L by 0.15g powdered FZ Ammonia Removal Agent.But it will result in a great improvement of SS.The use of coagulant PAC and coagulant promoter PAM can effectively reduce the residual powder adsorbent in water.When saturated adsorbent is regenerated by static salt regeneration and dynamic salt regeneration,the regeneration rate of saturated FZ Ammonia Removal Agent can be increased by increasing the concentration of NaOH and NaCl in regeneration solution.When static salt regeneration is adopted,the regeneration rate of saturated FZ Ammonia Removal Agent can be increased by increasing the soaking time of regeneration solution.When Na+concentration is 0.42mol/L and OH-concentration is 0.25mol/L,the regeneration time increases to 180 minutes,and the regeneration rate tends to be stable.It is not significant to continue to increase the regeneration time.In the dynamic regeneration experiment,the regeneration solution with NaOH concentration of 0.15 mol/L and NaCI concentration of 10%is the best choice.At this time,12BV is needed to regenerate the saturated adsorbent.When the combined process of sand filtration,FZ Ammonia Removal Agent and activated carbon is applied in the advanced treatment process of wastewater treatment plant,the ammonia NH3-N,TP,COD and other indicators in water can be effectively reduced.Among them,sand filtration mainly reduces TP,adsorbent tank mainly reduces NH3-N,and activated carbon mainly reduces COD.The filtration rate has a great influence on the removal efficiency of the FZ Ammonia Removal Agent.Reducing the filtration rate can improve the removal efficiency of NH3-N.When the filtration rate is 20 m/h,the removal rate is close to 40%,while when the filtration rate is 50 m/h,the removal rate is slightly more than 20%.Reducing filtration rate can improve NH3-N removal efficiency.
