In this study, four typical mining areas in Dongfang City and Changjiang Li Autonomous Region of Hainan Province were selected for sampling. The samples included soil around the mining area, agricultural products、hair and urine of residents from villages in the mining area. The contents of heavy metals As,Cd,Cu,Pb,Ni and Zn in all samples were determined respectively.By multivariate statistical analysis,it studies the correlation of heavy metals. The law of pollution standard and distribution of soil were evaluated by three methods of heavy metals pollution:single factor index method,Nemerow comprehensive pollution index method and Hakanson potential ecological risk pollution index method. With the health risk assessment model recommended by EPA,it carried out a human health risk assessment of soil and agricultural products by the intake of mouth and skin to compare the assessment results of adults and children respectively. It makes a descriptive analysis on the human urine and hair, and compares the differences between adults and children, between males and females in adults, analyses the correlation between soil, hair and urine for the study of the pollution of soil around four typical mining areas in Dongfang City and Changjiang City, thus making a further understanding of the health risks of the surrounding environment to human body,so as to provide corresponding data reference and theoretical basis for the prevention and control of heavy metal pollution in typical mining areasThe results show that:1.According to the results of single factor pollution index assessment, the average content of As in soil was as follows:Baoban>Bumo>Hongquan>Shilu. The average content of Cd was:Hongquan>Bumo>Shilu>Baoban. The average content of copper was:Shilu>Bumo>Baoban>Hongquan Team,in which heavy metals As and Cd exceeded the standard seriously, while heavy metals Pb,Ni and Zn did not exceed the standard.2.According to the Nemero pollution assessment results, the proportion of pollution above grade V in Hongquan,Baoban,Bumo and Shilu mining areas was 16.22%,23.08%,34.09%and 14.29%;According to the potential ecological risk assessment results of heavy metals in soil, the proportion of pollution above high pollution of Bumo was 31.82%,and that of Baoban and Hongquan was 19.68%and 13.52%.3.Except Cu-As,there is a significant correlation between the other heavy metals in area of Hongquan. In Banban aream, there are correlations among Cd,Pb and Zn,In Bumo and Shilu area, there are correlations among As,Pb and Cd in soil of areas, and significant correlations among Cu,Ni and Zn of the soil.4.The pollution of heavy, metals in agricultural products around the four mining areas is light, only the content of Pb exceeds the standard, the over-standard rate is 36.84%,and the pollution of agricultural products is light.5.Among adults and children, the main channel leading to the high risk of non-carcinogenesis and carcinogenesis is the intake by mouth. The non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks of children were 5.81 and 2.12×10-4.Children are at higher risk of non-carcinogenesis and carcinogenesis diseases than adults.6.The over-standard rate of heavy metals in urine of all residents from high to low is:84.85%、39.39%、39.39%和 18.18%,in which Cd and Cu are not detected for excess, and the content of adult urine is generally higher than that of children. The content of all heavy metals in hair samples in children and adults all exceeded the standard, and the over-standard rate of all kinds of metals in children was much higher than that in adults.
