Synthesis of multivalent carbohydrate ligands pays an effective way to the study of the protein-carbohydrate interactions,and carbohydrates-carbohydrates interactions.Also the synthesized multivalent carbohydrate ligands can be used to interfere with the biometric process caused by the sugar ligands,which possessed potential applications in the fields of new anti-infective,anti-virus and human vaccines and tumor diagnosis.Based on the biological properties of the multivalent carbohydrate ligands,the self-assembling ability and fluorescence properties of perylene bisimide derivatives,the low toxicity and easy modification of Cyclodextrins,galactose and lactose functionalized water-soluble perylene bisimide derivatives PBI-4Gal-2TMCD,PBI-4Gal-2CD and PY-Lac were synthesized,and were full characteristeced by NMR and HRMS analyses.The optical and aggregation properties of PBI-4Gal-2TMCD and PBI-4Gal-2CD were investigated by UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra.Compound PBI-4Gal-2TMCD exhibited the quantum yield of 10%,possessed fluorescent imaging with Hep G2 cells.Furthermore,the complexes of PBI-4Gal-2TMCD and PBI-4Gal-2CD with camptothecin were obtained,which showed potent anticancer activities with the IC50 values of 2.06,9.03,5.93 and 1.62μM against MCF-7,Hela,A549 and Hep G2 cells.Moreover,the optical and aggregation properties of PY-Lac for lactose modified pyrene derivative were investigated.Compound PY-Lac formed chiral supramolecular aggregates in water,which showed unique interaction with PNA lectin.
