Wool is usually processed into high-grade suits,because of its good warmth retention and appearance quality.Therefore,wool suit fabrics should not only meet the requirements of "machine washability",but also be excellent in smoothness,pilling resistance and wrinkle resistance after washing.Under this background,this subject used biological enzyme and plasma to scale off wool fabric,and tested the anti-felting property and other micro-macro properties of the treated wool fabric,and compared the mechanism of the two treatments on the modification of wool fabric.The fabrics before and after biological enzyme treatment were made into composite fabrics simulating different ready-to-wear parts of suits,to explore the correlation between the performance results of wool fabrics and wool composite fabrics after washing.The specific work of this paper is as follows:(1)In order to determine the best plasma treatment parameters,pure wool fabric was treated by plasma with different power and treatment time.By comparing and analyzing the "machine washable" and hydrophilic property of fabrics before and after treatment,the apparent morphology wool fiber,it was found that the optimum parameters of plasma treatment are 150 W power and 60 s treatment time.Under this treatment parameter,the treated fabric reached the "machine washable" standard.After treatment,the scales of wool fiber partially peel off,and the wettability of fabric surface is further improved.(2)This chapter studied the influence of biological enzyme and plasma on the microproperties of wool fabric.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)was used to observe the apparent morphology of wool fiber.It was found that both biological enzyme and plasma could effectively peel off the scales on the surface of the fiber,but the scales were different in size.The elemental groups on the fabric surface were measured by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),and the results showed that there was no evident change in the surface groups after two treatments.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)was used to measure the elements on the surface of wool fabric.It was found that the contents of carbon and sulfur on the surface of wool fabric decreased after biological enzyme treatment,but the contents of nitrogen and oxygen increased.After plasma treatment,the contents of carbon,nitrogen and sulfur on the surface of wool fabric decreased and the content of oxygen increased.Both treatments can increase the ratio of oxygen to carbon on the surface of wool fabric.In addition,the wettability of wool fabric was significantly improved by the two modification methods.(3)This chapter studied the shape-keeping properties and mechanical properties of wool fabric treated by biological enzyme and plasma,such as "machine washable",anti-pilling and so on.The results show that the wool fabric treated by biological enzyme and plasma can reach the "machine washable" standard.After treatment,the wet crease recovery angle of pure wool fabric increased by 28.73% and 21.21% respectively,and the degree of flatness after washing increased by 1.5 and 1,respectively,and the degree of flatness of wool/polyester blended fabric after washing increased by 0.5 and 1,respectively.The improvement effect of biological enzyme on wet crease resistance of fabric was better than that of plasma.Both treatments can improve the anti-pilling property of wool fabric;And both treatments did not lose the original good mechanical properties of wool fabric.(4)The untreated and bio-enzyme treated wool fabric are made into two kinds of composite fabrics which simulate different ready-to-wear parts of wool suits,namely,stitched composite fabrics and bonded composite fabrics,and their "machine washability" and flatness after washing are tested to explore the correlation between the above two test results of wool fabrics and wool composite fabrics.The results show that biological enzyme treatment can significantly improve felting shrinkage and smoothness of wool composite fabric after washing.There is a good correlation between felting shrinkage and flatness data of wool and two kinds of wool composite fabrics.
