Research On Men's Clothing Design Of Work Wear Style Based On Modular Concept

As a specific category of garments,workwear has always been characterized by simplicity and roughness.The generation of the impression was inseparable from the functional demands of workers' clothes.It can be said that the early traditional workwear is a special clothing with strong functional attributes.Then,with the progress of social productivity and the rising of the working class,the development of workwear was also increasingly prosperous,and gradually stepped into daily life.Today,workwear has developed a number of style factions,and fully engaged with the daily fashion,but throughout the show design of recent years and the consumer market,the integration of various categories,different styles of clothing elements is becoming the mainstream;Due to the simple,common characteristics,workwear elements are also easily submerged by other categories of clothing elements.How to keep its own characteristics under this trend and carry out innovative design based on work wear elements is a problem that needs to be solved in the current workwear development process.Modularity theory,which arose in the middle and late 20 th century,is a concept related to system.It refers to the process in which components that can be combined but exist independently or have independent functions are connected to each other according to certain combination rules to form objects with complex forms or superimposed functions.In short,as a theoretical system specialized in dealing with the relationship between the part and the whole,in the modular system,abstract and concrete ideas can be arranged in an orderly way,and finally play the effect that much greater than before.This feature is also effective in the field of workwear design.With the support of modular system,abstract design elements will be quantified,intangible design style will be balanced,and iconic workwear modules can be fully utilized in the design.The ultimate goal of this improvement is to provide new ideas for the development of workwear creative design.In this paper,the author firstly read and analyzed the relevant literature,sorted out the development,style characteristics and design research direction of the workwear,and discussed the limitations of some existing workwear design.Based on the existing research,the systematic modular clothing design theory was explored.Secondly,the modularization theory was applied to the workwear design,and the driving effect of modularization concept on workwear design is demonstrated.A complete modular workwear design system was established and finally verified by design and practice.
