The structural color based on photonic crystal(PC)is an emerging green dyeing and finishing technology,which does not produce industrial wastewater containing chemical dyes.The obtained structural color has an iridescent effect and will not fade with time,so it has attracted extensive attention.However,there are two problems in the preparation of structured color fabrics:one is how to prepare highly crystalline PC structure on the fabric substrate with different chemical composition,fiber structure and wettability,and the other is how to retain the wearing experience of the original fabric after compounding PC structure,such as durability,breathability and comfort.In order to solve these two problems,we have developed a new spray preparation technology for structural color fabrics with saturated color,firm coloring,soft and breathable.The specific research contents are as follows:In Chapters 2 and 3,we developed a two-step spray process to precisely assemble colloidal photonic crystals inside the yarns of polyester(PET)fabrics resulting in color-saturated,soft and breathable,durable and stable structural color polyester fabrics and polyester blends.It is found that the solvent with high surface tension and boiling point,and the fabric substrate with low twist angle and large weave cycles,and large tightness for the fabric substrate can improve the crystallinity of PC fabric.PC/PET fabrics have saturated and durable colors thanks to the highly crystalline PC structures and the polyacrylate(PA)adhesives.In addition,due to the precise assembly of the colloidal particles in the yarn,clogging of the weaving holes can be avoided,making it more comfortable and breathable.In chapter 4,we further studied the green preparation technology of the colloidal solution,discussed the influence of various factors on the colloidal assembly and how to improve the crystallinity of PC fabric.It is found that under the heat treatment temperature of 60°C,the colloidal assembly is not easily affected by external conditions,and the structure color fabric has higher preparation efficiency and reflection intensity.The charge density on the surface of the colloidal particles will affect the stability of the colloidal particles and thus affect the assembly.When the p H value of the colloidal solution is 12.68,the Zeta potential of the Si O2 aqueous solution is the highest and the crystallinity is the highest.The addition of 5%ethanol can effectively improve the uniformity of the structural color on the fabric while maintaining the brightness of the structural color.The preliminary study showed that the green preparation process based on aqueous solution spraying was also suitable for the preparation of structural color fabrics based on various colloidal crystals such as silica(Si O2),polystyrene(PS),polystyrene-polydopamine(PS@PDA),silica-resorcinol formaldehyde(Si O2@RF)particles,etc.
