Structure Design Of Ultra-low Cross-section High Load 205/65R17.5 Radial Tire

With the introduction of the regulations on the height limit of box transport vehicles in the European market,in order to ensure the transportation volume of logistics vehicles and goods,ultra-low section tires have gradually become the mainstream of the market,and customers have more requirements on the bearing performance and mileage of tires.At the same time,due to the requirements of European labelling regulations,the products sold to the European market must meet its rolling resistance,wet slip,noise limits.In this context,it is necessary to develop a 17.5 inch ultra-low section high load trailer product tire.In this article,the design process and test results of 205/65R17.5 tire are studied.Structural design: according to the analysis of competitive products in the market,combined with the theory of natural balance contour design,through finite element simulation analysis to optimize the inner contour and new product material distribution map.The design of the new product external diameter 711 mm,section width 205 mm,driving surface radian height 7.5mm,driving surface width 177 mm,pattern depth11.5mm.The pattern adopts three longitudinal zigzag pattern groove design.In order to ensure tire wear performance,the high pattern saturation design is adopted.The design pattern saturation is 77.5%.In order to reduce the rolling resistance of the tire,the pattern surface is designed without steel sheet.The product has been tested by indoor machine tool,and the outer edge size,strength and durability meet the requirements of laws and regulations.The rolling resistance,wet slip,noise and other properties have been tested by third-party certification institutions,which meet the requirements of European labeling regulations and have passed E/ S-MARK certification.The new product has been tested on the road for half a year and has no adverse feedback.The specification products described in this article are only sold by Michelin,Continental,Goodyear,Bridgestone and Pirelli,and no domestic enterprises.This product has achieved a breakthrough in the European market for Chinese brand products with this specification.
