With the progress of science,the aerospace electrical appliances,machinery and electronics and some high-tech industries have achieved rapid development,but the pure matrix resin is difficult to meet the new requirement and limit their developments,more and more researchers have carried out research on the modification of resin matrix.Bisphenol A epoxy resin(E51)and bismaleimide(MBMI)have been widely used in production and living industries,due to their outstanding mechanical properties,dielectric properties and good processability.However,the shortcomings,such as brittleness and poor toughness,are the main reasons for hindering its further development.In this paper,MBMI was firstly used for internal toughening of epoxy E51 to prepare MBMI-E51 composite resin matrix and then the maleic anhydride(MAH)was grafted to modify graphene oxide(GO)to obtain MAH-GO.The inorganic component MAH-GO was modified as reinforcement,and the thermoplastic resin poly-ether sulfone(PES)was further doped to get a series of composites.And then,study the influence of the reinforcement content on the toughness and other properties of the composites.FT-IR,X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were used to characterize the modification effect of GO.XRD showed that the crystal plane spacing increased by 0.162 nm,what's more,many obvious curls and folds were observed in the structure of the MAH-GO lamellae in the SEM figure,which indicated that MAH-GO was successfully prepared with chemical titration method,and the grafting rate was about 7.26%.The test results of the composites show that the introduction of MAH-GO and PES can also improve the performance of MBMI-E51.When the content of MAH-GO is 1.25 wt%and PES is 9 wt%,the comprehensive performance of MAH-GO/PES/MBMI-E51 composite is the best.At this time,the internal structure of the material is uniform and complete,and many dimples appeared in the micro-structure of the section.The fracture mode was typical ductile fracture.The mechanical properties were the best,in which the impact strength and bending strength can reach 28.9 k J/m~2and 235.8 MPa,which are 276.8%and 105%higher than MBMI-E51,respectively.The dielectric constant and dielectric loss are 4.73and 0.00563 at the frequency of 100 Hz.The breakdown strength and volume resistivity are also greatly improved,and it can reach 16.6 k V/mm and 6.25×1014?·m,which still meet the requirements of insulation materials in practical application...
