The composite structure has excellent stiffness and strength properties and is widely used in aerospace and other fields.However,composite laminates inevitably produce various defects during actual manufacturing and use,resulting in a decrease in structural load carrying capacity.Therefore,it is important to conduct strength analysis,damage assessment and repair research on composite laminates.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The static strength of the intact composite laminates under tensile and compressive loads was studied by finite element analysis method.The damage propagation form and failure mechanism of all models were analyzed.(2)The three-dimensional finite element models of laminates with superficial defects,layered defects and penetrating defects were established.The static strength prediction and damage expansion analysis of the structures under tensile or compressive loads were carried out.Compared to the intact composite laminate,the strength of the defect-containing structures shows varying degrees of decline.(3)The three-dimensional finite element repaired models with superficial defects,layered defects and penetrating defects composite laminates was established.The static strength prediction and damage expansion analysis of the repaired structures under tensile or compressive loads were carried out.Compared with the intact and defective structures,the carrying capacity after repair has been basically restored.
