Construction metal materials are very much used in civil engineering, and at the same time, there are many problems encountered in the use of construction metal materials. The use of metals in the natural environment is often accompanied by changes in temperature, humidity, strong radiation and salinity, which can lead to a gradual corrosion of the metal materials in use, thus changing its own properties. The use of metallic materials is also accompanied by the effects of various loads, which are constantly and cyclically applied to the metallic materials, and this produces fatigue in the metallic materials. In this paper, the two are combined to further analyze the corrosion and fatigue properties of construction metal materials by conducting corrosion and fatigue tests on them. For this purpose, this paper investigates the corrosion fatigue properties of construction metal materials through corrosion test studies, fatigue test studies, numerical simulations, metallographic analysis and macroscopic fatigue fracture analysis. In this paper, the corrosion tests of five kinds of construction metal materials were carried out.In this paper, three kinds of corrosion methods are used, which are25℃ periodic immersion test,50℃ periodic immersion test and 25℃ alternating salt spray test.Seven corrosion time nodes were set,and three corrosion parallel samples were arranged at each time node for each material to determine the corrosion rate. The corrosion results were analyzed by measuring the corrosion rate.In this paper, the fatigue tests of five kinds of construction metal materials are carried out.In this paper, fatigue tests are carried out on the specimens under non-corrosion and three kinds of corrosion conditions, and the fatigue life results of corrosion and non-corrosion are compared. The corresponding conclusions are obtained, which can provide reference for the selection of metal materials under special circumstances. In this paper, the fatigue life of five kinds of construction metal materials was simulated by finite element method, and the accurate corrosion morphology of the specimens was restored by 3D scanning.Combining the results of 3D scanning with the finite element analysis software,ABAQUS software and FE-SAFE software are used to simulate the fatigue life of the specimens. The comparison diagram between the finite element simulation and the test results is given. The feasibility of this simulation method is analyzed, which provides a certain reference for the corrosion fatigue simulation of metal materials. The influence of stress level on the fatigue life of materials is discussed, and the formula fitting is carried out to provide reference for the use of materials in practical engineering. In this paper, metallographic analysis and macroscopic analysis of fatigue fractures were performed on five construction metal materials.By analyzing the crystal structure of the materials and comparing the crystal structure under different corrosion conditions,it can be seen that corrosion has not changed the crystal structure of the metallic materials themselves.By observing the fatigue fracture of metallic materials,it can be seen that corrosion does not change the fatigue mode from the root cause, but will make the fatigue from the most severe corrosion, thus verifying that corrosion does not change the mechanical properties of the material from the material crystal structure itself.
