As people's work and life continue to become more complex,a large amount of data exchange has become inevitable.Nowadays,the carrier of data communication has transitioned from wired communication to wireless communication,and the inevitable component of wireless communication is the antenna.After the structure of the electromagnetic metasurface(Electromagnetic Metasurface)is used in the traditional patch structure,the bandwidth of the antenna is significantly broadened with a lower profile,which provides a new idea for the research of broadband antennas.The introduction part of the article first introduces the development history of metamaterials and metasurfaces.Then,it introduces the transmission line model method for analyzing the microstrip antenna and the characteristic mode analysis method(Characteristic Mode Analysis,CMA)for studying the antenna radiation problem.The paper mainly proposes three structures:1.The use of non-equal periodic double-layer metasurface arrays and surface capacitive loading methods have made the traditional metasurface antennas significantly miniaturized.The principle of resonance and the transmission line model method are used to theoretically analyze and propose the miniaturization mechanism of the structure,which is consistent with the simulation results.The area of the radiation aperture is only 30% of the traditional metasurface antenna.2.Designing a broadband hybrid phase shifting network based on the broadband phase shifter composed of C-type coupling lines of the first and second phase periods as the feed network of the metasurface array makes the circular polarization bandwidth of the metasurface antenna significantly increase.The CMA theory is used to study the radiation problem of the antenna,and the design process of the hybrid network is detailed and the phase shifter is simulated from the circuit.In addition,the designed antenna was processed and measured,and the results were basically consistent with the simulation.Finally,the shaft ratio is less than 3d B in the range of 2.8GHz-4.87 GHz,which is 54%.3.The idea of capacitively loading a metasurface and a coupled-line phase shifter working in the second phase period are used in a circularly polarized antenna structure with high gain and RCS reduction.The thesis explained the principles of circular polarization,low RCS,high gain and bandwidth increase from the working mechanism.Finally,in the range of 6.5GHz-9.55 GHz,that is,38%,the axial ratio is less than 3d B,the maximum in-band gain increase is 2.9d B,and the antenna radiation aperture is reduced by 26.8%.
