As China is promoting the construction of intelligent mines, digital technology is improving the efficiency and reliability of the system, while at the same time bringing about many new digital human-computer interaction system usability issues. This paper therefore investigates the usability of the operation process of the H coal mine scheduling and monitoring operation system, with a view to improving its usability and providing a theoretical basis for the design and optimisation of digital systems in the coal mining industry. In this paper, from the perspective of operation process task analysis, firstly,we explore the current status of research on the usability of digital human-computer interaction systems through literature review, summarise the task analysis methods in digital human-computer interaction systems from the perspective of system operation process.Concluding the modelling methods applicable to the operation process tasks of digital human-computer interaction systems from different task analysis methods.Secondly, taking a typical daily task of the H coal mine dispatching and monitoring operation system as an example. The GOMS task analysis modelling method is applied to predict its theoretical operation time while the SMI Glass eye-tracking device,EV recording software and programming software are used to test the usability of the H coal mine dispatching and monitoring operation system under two different types of daily typical and emergency situations. The results of the experiments found that:(1)The theoretical operation time obtained using the GOMS task analysis modelling method is basically the same as the actual operation time.(2)Among the different query methods for personnel location, the error rate of the query method for department search is significantly higher than that of the query methods for location card number search and name search.(3)The tick box in front of the different query methods option of the personnel locating system is the main reason for the high error rate of the task.(4)In the emergency task operation process, display style A with the 1D flowchart combination has a significantly lower task completion time than display style B with the 2D flowchart and logic tree combination.(5)Red font in the interface display will attract subjects' attention more quickly and thus gain more attention from them. Finally, based on the experimental results and conclusions, suggestions are made to improve the usability of the operation flow of the H coal mine dispatching and monitoring operation system, and experimental verification of the optimised operation flow of the H coal mine dispatching and monitoring operation system for typical daily and emergency tasks is carried out.The results show that the usability of the optimised operation flow of the H coal mine dispatching and monitoring operation system is significantly improved. This paper provides a theoretical basis and design guidelines for optimising the usability of the operation flow of the digital human-computer interaction system.
