The unique structure of chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber(CSM)endows it with excellent physical and mechanical properties,oil resistance,chemical resistance,ozone resistance,heat resistance,etc.It can blend and modify other rubber materials to improve The properties of rubber materials expand the application fields of rubber materials.This article first studied the influence of different vulcanization systems on the crosslinking density of CSM,and obtained the optimal formula with the best performance of CSM compound through the orthogonal experiment design method.And then studied the CSM preparation and properties of modified EPDM rubber blending,and discusses the different flame retardants for flame retardancy of EPDM/CSM blend system,the influence of mechanical properties.Later,the performance of CSM modified NBR blends was studied and discussed,and the influence of CSM on the mechanical properties,hot air aging resistance,ozone resistance and other properties of NBR compounds was discussed.Finally,the modification and compatibilization effect of CSM on the NBR/EPDM blend system is studied.The influence of different compatibilizers on the compatibility and comprehensive properties of the blends and the influence of the amount of CSM on the comprehensive properties of the blends are discussed.The effects of different vulcanization systems on the physical and mechanical properties and resistance of the NBR/EPDM/CSM blends are also discussed.The influence of aging performance,cold resistance and thermal performance.Research indicates:(1)The accelerator DPTT can be used as both an accelerator and a vulcanizing agent to vulcanize CSM.As the amount of DPTT increases,the crosslinking density of CSM increases,and the mechanical properties increase.When the amount of sulfur(S)is 0.5 phr,the amount of accelerator DM is 1 phr,and the amount of magnesium oxide(Mg O)is about 1 phr,the overall performance of CSM vulcanizates is the best.(2)As the amount of CSM increases,the tensile strength and 100 % tensile stress of the rubber compound gradually increase,the tear strength first increases and then decreases,and the compression set increases.When EPDM/CSM is 80/20,the overall performance of the compound is the best.The modified magnesium hydroxide flame retardant system not only has the most prominent effect on the improvement of the oxygen index of the rubber compound,but also can improve the mechanical properties of the rubber compound;CSM can replace the halogen-containing flame retardant in the flame retardant system and act as a barrier in the rubber compound.It can be used to prepare low-smoke,low-toxicity,and environmentally friendly flame-retardant materials.(3)With the increase of the amount of CSM,the crosslinking density of the NBR compound increases,the tensile strength,100 % tensile stress and tear strength gradually increase,and the tensile deformation rate decreases.The addition of CSM significantly improves the ozone resistance and hot air aging performance of NBR.CSM has good compatibility with NBR,and it is evenly dispersed in NBR,and the two are closely combined.(4)The experimental results show that CSM improves the compatibility of the NBR/EPDM blend system most prominently.After adding CSM,the mechanical properties and crosslinking density of the blend are improved.The two phases of the blend are tightly combined.CSM has the most obvious compatibilization effect on the interface of the two phases in the blend system.The mechanical properties of the blending system increase with the increase of the amount of accelerator DPTT.The sulphur/peroxide co-vulcanized rubber has the best physical and mechanical properties and heat-resistant air aging performance.The new NBR/EPDM/CSM material obtained this time has the properties of oil resistance,ozone resistance,and low temperature resistance,as well as outstanding physical and mechanical properties and excellent wear resistance.It is a new type of rubber material with comprehensive performance.It can be used to manufacture special rubber products such as aircraft fuel pipes and high temperature resistant rubber capsules.
