Research On Lean Safety Management Of Iron And Steel Company

The iron and steel industry produces raw materials for our national industry and economy,which are applied to industries and daily lives.Distinctive from the discrete manufacturing industries such as automobile manufacturing,the iron and steel manufacturing is the process manufacturing industry.The iron and steel manufacturing industry possesses its distinctive features including capital-intensive business,large consumption of raw materials,relatively mature and stable technology,long production process,intensive crew member,high labor intensity,high temperature work environment,and intensive workload.Due to the characteristics of technology and equipment in the iron steel industry,it belongs to the whole process industry.In this industry,all kinds of accidents tend to occur,especially mass casualties and major safety accidents.They pose a huge threat to the lives and properties of employees as well as environment.It belongs to the highrisk industry in the field of safety production.It is difficult to estimate and control losses and hazards due to the accidents.In view of current safety management background of the iron and steel industry,the purpose of this thesis is to use innovative concepts and lean safety methods to solve the challenging problems in the safety management of iron and steel enterprises such as improper landing and location,discontinuing operation and etc.It is hoped that this work can achieve the goal of “zero personal injury”,build more accurate,efficient and sustainable safety management work for iron and steel enterprises.In addition,this work select a steel company as a practical object to verify the research results.This thesis enriches and improves the concept,mode and method of lean safety,innovatively proposes the “lean safety value flow” model,“lean safety assessment”model,“lean safety house” model of iron and steel enterprises,develops the lean safety technology method system,and creates the lean safety implementation path for iron and steel enterprises.Finally,the practical application of lean safety in iron and steel enterprises has been studied.
