| The main function of cooling towers in thermal power plants and chemical plants is to cool circulating water.The total annual water consumption in the country reaches 7.8 billion m~3,of which evaporative water consumption accounts for about 47.1%.The water collector is an important water-saving device for intercepting droplets and evaporating water in the cooling tower.It runs in the saturated wet steam environment of 60°C~70°C in the open air all the year round,which has certain requirements for the mechanical properties,anti-aging properties and weight of the material.At present,most of the traditional water collectors in China use polyvinyl chloride(PVC)materials,but their mechanical properties,resistance to hot and humid aging,ultraviolet resistance and other poor performance,resulting in easy damage to the water collector,falling off the material to destroy the filler layer below,not only the water effect is weakened,so that water vapor directly discharged into the atmosphere,resulting in waste of water resources,but also reduce the cooling effect of the cooling tower.In order to solve this problem,based on the use conditions of the water collector,this paper designs and develops a new fiber reinforced composite water collector,and adds graphene materials,which improves the mechanical properties of the water collector and improves the thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of the water collector.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Optimizing the base material.Three matrix materials of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer(ABS),polylactic acid(PLA)and PVC were selected to test their mechanical properties,thermal conductivity,electrical conductivity,water absorption and water contact angle,and passed the analysis,ABS has excellent electrical conductivity and mechanical properties,thermal conductivity and water contact angle are in the middle level,and its water absorption rate is low,that is,the weight after molding is lighter,and it is suitable as a composite material matrix;(2)Using ABS as the matrix,adding 5wt.%of short glass fibers to prepare composite materials,and conduct various performance tests.The results show that short glass fiber/ABS composite materials have excellent thermal conductivity,electrical conductivity,mechanical properties and water contact.The angles have been improved to varying degrees,but their water absorption performance has increased slightly;(3)In order to improve the thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of short glass fiber/ABS composites to a greater extent,0.5wt.%,1wt.%,1.5wt.%and 2wt.%graphene were added,and different contents of graphene/short glass fiber/ABS were prepared and tested.The results show that with the increase of graphene content,the thermal conductivity,electrical conductivity and water contact angle of the composites will be improved to varying degrees,and the effect is the most obvious when the graphene content is 2 wt.%.When the graphene content is 0.5 wt.%,the flexural strength,flexural modulus,compressive strength and compressive modulus are the highest.When the graphene content is 1wt.%,the water absorption of the composite is the lowest,indicating that the water absorption is small,and the tensile strength and tensile modulus are the highest.The grey correlation analysis was used to comprehensively evaluate the test data of graphene composites with different mass fractions.The graphene composites with better contents of1.5 wt.%and 2 wt.%were selected for subsequent molding experiments;(4)The composite materials with graphene content of 1.5wt.%and 2wt.%were used for the injection molding experiment of the water receiver.The molding results showed that the surface of the water receiver with graphene content of 1.5wt.%was smooth without obvious damage.Through the study of the overall performance modification of the water absorber material,compared with the traditional PVC material,the thermal conductivity,electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of the graphene/short glass fiber/ABS composite material with 1.5wt.%graphene content are greatly improved,and the contact angle is also increased.However,the water absorption performance is slightly increased.As a water absorber material,it is missing,but it has little effect on its normal use.The research of this subject has a broad industrial application market,has important practical significance and scientific value for water saving and energy saving,and has considerable economic benefits,safety benefits and environmental benefits. |
