Owing to its unique advantages of diverse functions,small size and portability,academics and industries are interested in developing fiber-type flexible electronic devices.In this thesis,a conductive EGaIn liquid metal fiber was prepared through combining EGaIn liquid metal with fiber.Such new type of conductive fiber not only owns excellent electrical properties,but also displays outstanding sensing properties,which enables its broad application prospect in the field of flexible wearable electronics.We first introduce the five-step preparation method of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber,and propose the rapid and mass preparation method of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber.Than,the adhesion and conduction mechanisms of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber were interpreted.Meanwhile,the microstructure and morphology of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber were studied.The composition of the liquid metal layer of EGaIn on the surface was clarified by electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Next,the electrical properties of EGaIn liquid metal conducting fiber are studied.The excellent conductivity of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber under large scale tensile condition was verified.The stability of electrical properties of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber was also evaluated.The long-term stability of electrical properties of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber under different strain states were verified.Following that,the thermal stability of EGaIn liquid metal conducting fiber and its temperature tolerance range were also investigated.Furthermore,the sensing and responsing characteristics of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber as a fiber type tensile strain sensor were studied.The stress-strain characteristics of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber under mechanical tension were measured.At the same time,the response curve of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber under different conditions was obtained,and the excellent frequency response stability of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber was verified.The sensing characteristics of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber have been proven to display long-term reliability and durability by doing 8000 cyclic stretching-recovery tests on EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber.The response time characteristics of tensile and recovery of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber were also studied.Lastly,the application of EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber in stretchy fiber-type flexible conductor and fiber-type tensile strain sensor is demonstrated.EGaIn liquid metal conductive fiber is adopted as a stretchable flexible mobile phone charging wire and a flexible stretchable ECG signal acquisition wire.Efforts were also made on illustrating the applications of fiber type tensile strain sensor,used for the actual detection of fingers,wrist,elbow,knee bending motion in the body movement of various parts of the human body.
