At present,the process of "one package to the bottom" is gradually adopted in the hot supply process of hot metal in the iron and steel industry,that is,the process of BF discharging to the converter in the steel-making area is used the same ladle.In order to reduce the loss of temperature drop of open hot metal ladle and take into account the environmental protection requirements,the capping device of the ladle has been widely used.In the application process,the transmission failure such as opening and closing,clamping and other transmission faults and rod deformation occurred in the application process of the cover device,which seriously affected the production organization of the reverse operation of molten iron.This paper combines the problems in the practical application of the hot metal cover device in Tang stainless steel company,designs a new type of capping device,establishes the model of the device,and improves its structure through simulation analysis.The research trends of hot metal ladle capping technology at home and abroad are systematically analyzed.Based on the characteristics of the existing stamping device of hot metal ladle in Tang stainless steel company,a new type of cover device for hot metal ladle based on pin tooth transmission is designed,and the design process of main parameters is given.The dynamic model of the device is established.Under the condition of given driving shaft movement law,the dynamic simulation analysis is carried out on the model.The whole motion state of the end cover and the change law of the mass center position,velocity and acceleration of the cover are obtained.The analysis shows that the new type of the device can move smoothly and can meet the practical requirements of the capping device.The thermal structure finite element model of capping device and hot metal ladle is established.The thermal structure simulation analysis is carried out under external load and boundary conditions.The steady temperature field is obtained.The temperature measurement is verified by the spot detector;the stress distribution and deformation distribution of the capping device are obtained,and the fatigue life of the capping device is analyzed;the control group is set up to determine the high temperature of the cover mouth by comparison The thermal stress caused by the cap device has a very obvious influence on the structure of the capping device.The improvement measures such as adding heat insulation cotton at the opening and improving the chamfer size of the bottom of connecting rod on both sides are taken.The results show that the influence of thermal stress on the improved capping device is significantly reduced,and the service life of the capping device is effectively prolonged.The new type of hot metal ladle capping device is used on site.In recent year,the action of capping and opening has been improved obviously,the deformation,crack and fracture of connecting rod are eliminated,no obvious equipment fault has occurred,which greatly reduces the cost of using and maintenance of the capping device,and the effect is good in the actual application.
