With the continuous development of energy and industrial industries,some large energy enterprises,such as Yangmei Group,have their own power grids,and the scale of self-provided power grids is also expanding with the development and growth of enterprises.The complexity of its power grid system puts forward high requirements for the safety of the entire regional power grid operation.Wide-area protection system based on electrical parameter measuring device monitoring information,combined with the existing traditional relay protection can realize precise and rapid fault isolation,removal and and can prevent the system failures and accidents to expand through automatic control device and take measures in time,the theory and practice confirmed that the system of complex topology structure of interconnected power grid safe and stable operation is very helpful.Based on the characteristics of the power grid system of Yangquan Coal Industry Group,this paper analyzes the demand of the power system of Yangquan Coal Industry Group,and studies the related technologies to realize wide area protection.This paper explains the functional principle of wide area protection system,including the function of wide area control system,wide area relay protection and wide area protection algorithm.The regional criteria and topology of the system,the realization goal,the multi-point information transmission,the protection cooperation,the local area network scheme and other aspects under the fault condition are deeply analyzed and studied.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the existing communication technology and communication media,and makes a comparison.Based on the consideration of meeting the real-time,reliability and security requirements of the wide area protection communication system,a wide area protection communication system is constructed to meet the performance requirements,which includes the networking mode,access mode and bearing mode.When selecting the wide area backup protection algorithm,the original system protection algorithm should not be ignored,including increasing the fault tolerance and negotiation of the original algorithm.Firstly,the fault elements are determined by the action behavior of line differential protection and current protection device.When it is known that the fault element cannot be correctly identified according to the criterion,the fault line should be determined according to the current differential principle,and the wide-area protection execution action should be carried out finally.The principle is to eliminate the fault element as soon as possible in the smallest possible range.The result of the calculation example analysis is conducive to the design of wide-area protection with better reliability.Finally Yang Mei grid wide-area protection system and the entire network parameter design and build,wave record was calculated and the function of the wide-area protection system and the entire network parameters are simulated wave record system simulation test,the test results show that the wide-area system features stable normal,able to handle the fault,rapid,accurate and detailed and comprehensive wave record system.The system effectively solves the self-provided power grid Yang Mei group of problems existing in the current relay protection device,improve the stability of Yang Mei self-provided power grid system,and maximize the available capacity of the system transmission line,ensure the Yang Mei group for safe and reliable power supply enterprises and residents,especially to reduce the coal mine,chemical industry and other important enterprises and regional blackout accidents.This paper is of demonstration significance to the same kind of power network wide area protection and parameter recording.
