Snake culture has a long history at home and abroad.China has a snake-headed Nuwa and Fuxi as a representative of the gods;The snake appears as a sinister and cunning image in the Western "Bible",tempting the son of Eden to steal the forbidden fruit;In literary stories,ancient Greek and Roman myths also portray the spiritual face of the snake.This topic uses the time context to study the historical changes of snake culture in jewelry design,sort out the different meanings of snake culture in jewelry design from ancient times to the present in different eras,summarize the development law of culture,and promote the development of snake culture in the future.This article first summarizes the evolution of the cultural connotation of the snake image at home and abroad,and compares and analyzes the cultural connotation and artistic form of traditional and modern snake-shaped jewelry with them,and obtains the connection between them.Then through case analysis to find the new connotation of the snake image in the context of the current era,create a series of designs based on the novel "Green Snake" by Hong Kong writer Bihua Li,combined with the contemporary jewelry cultural background,so that the new snake image jewelry design is more in line with contemporary jewelry The aesthetic concept of the design can also be more in line with the oriental aesthetic taste,thus enriching the spirit of snake culture in contemporary jewelry design.
