With the vigorous development of surreal fantasy literature in recent years and the improvement of the level of computer CG special effects technology,fantasy genre movies and TV dramas that incorporate creative elements(such as magic,religion,adventure,surreal,legend,fantasy,mystery,war,etc.)are coming one after another,quickly occupying the mainstream film and television drama market at home and abroad.People are driven by curiosity about the unknown world and strongly stimulated by cool visual images,so that the audience's viewing preferences and the creative enthusiasm of the creators are increasing day by day.It has achieved remarkable results in the international film and TV drama market.Among them,character costume modeling is one of the most attractive movie modeling methods for the audience.It forms the core of the creation together with the actor performance.It began to exert great influence during the pre-production of the film and TV series,and it is an important part of the art design of the works.At the same time,it is also an indispensable part of the expression of the lens language.This thesis will take the excellent fantasy film and television work "Game of Thrones" as the main case,and develop around the costume design of the characters in the fantasy film and television works.The first is an overview of fantasy film and television works,which will discuss fantasy film and television works from two aspects: historical origin,modern development and specific classification of works;secondly,the author will combine fantasy film and television work "Game of Thrones" with its character costume modeling The design is analyzed in detail from three aspects: definition,element composition,and design principles;once again,the author will specifically discuss the viewpoint of "the mutual construction of surreal and realistic factors in the costume design of fantasy film and television works",which is the most important chapter.Mainly taking "Game of Thrones" as an example,the surreal artistic expression,the basis of reality factors,and the mutual construction of surreal and real factors in the costume design of fantasy film and television works are applied in costume design from clothing styles and clothing.Colors,fabrics,patterns and details of accessories are analyzed and researched.Finally,the author will combine all the above researches to create and practice character costume design in fantasy film and television works.The final goal I hope to achieve is to seek a new possibility for the design of character costume modeling in future domestic fantasy film and television works,and to give it certain ideas,methods and enlightenment for its design creation.
