Pyrrhotite is a widely distributed pyrite in nature.It is affected by the structure of vacant solid solution.The common pyrrhotites are mainly monoclinic and hexagonal pyrrhotite.The paper selects monoclinic and hexagonal pyrrhotite from the more typical domestic deposits as the research object,investigates its mineralogical characteristics,and compares the differences in the flotation behavior of the two,and analyzes the effects of different crystal systems of pyrrhotite and reagents Mechanism and factors affecting its floatability.The study of mineralogical characteristics shows that the chemical composition of different crystal systems of pyrrhotite is different.In the contact angle test,the overall contact angle of monoclinic pyrrhotite is higher than that of hexagonal pyrrhotite,and the hydrophobicity is stronger.After air oxidation,the natural pulp p H changed slightly.In the hardness test,the surface Vickers hardness of monoclinic pyrrhotite is 247.1kg/mm2,and the surface Vickers hardness of hexagonal pyrrhotite is 234.8kg/mm2,and the XPS powder test shows that the monoclinic pyrrhotite shows The content of elements Fe and S is significantly higher than that of hexagonal pyrrhotite.Under the SEM scanning electron microscope,it can be seen that the monoclinic pyrrhotite is mostly presented in steps,while the hexagonal pyrrhotite has a smooth strip morphology.In the thermoelectric performance characterization test,the Seebeck coefficient of monoclinic and hexagonal pyrrhotite in the temperature range of 300-700K is small,the conductivity is on the order of 106S/m,and it has high conductivity with metallic properties.The flotation test research shows that under the condition of auto-induction,the highest recovery rate of monoclinic pyrrhotite is 71%,and the highest recovery rate of hexagonal pyrrhotite is 59%,and the flotation recovery is basically completed within 2 minutes.Contrasting the use of butyl xanthate and ethyl disulfide collector,it is determined that butyl xanthate is used as the test collector,and the dosage is 1×10-4mol/L.Sodium sulfide can act as a depressant in the collector flotation system.Copper sulfate can better activate pyrrhotite,the recovery rate of monoclinic pyrrhotite is increased within 10%,and the recovery rate of hexagonal pyrrhotite is increased within 20%.Lime can exert a good inhibitory effect on pyrrhotite of different crystal systems,the lowest reduction of monoclinic pyrrhotite recovery rate is about 30%,and the lowest reduction of hexagonal pyrrhotite recovery rate is about 35%.For the pyrrhotite activated by copper sulfate,it cannot be inhibited.The combined inhibitor sodium humate+calcium chloride has a better inhibitory effect on the activated pyrrhotite,and the recovery rate can be controlled below 20%.From the change of contact angle and adsorption capacity test,Dinghuang can better improve the hydrophobicity of the mineral surface.Both sodium sulfide and lime can adjust the hydrophilicity of the mineral surface.From the measurement of Zeta potential,the zero electric point of monoclinic pyrrhotite is 7.1,and the zero electric point of hexagonal pyrrhotite is 8.3.The anionic agent butyl xanthate and sodium sulfide have adsorbed on the surface of minerals,which reduces Surface potential.From the point of view of infrared spectroscopy,the products after the interaction of butyl xanthate collectors with different crystal systems of pyrrhotite are all double xanthates.However,due to the different crystal structure,the butyl xanthate molecules interact with the surface of the two minerals.The bonding force is different,although the adsorption products are the same,the degree of shift of the absorption peak wave number is different.From the perspective of physical property influencing factors,the factors affecting different crystal systems of pyrrhotite are:natural contact angle,impurity element content,ore hardness,Seebeck coefficient,fracture surface micro morphology and surface element content.
