Application And Research Of Chinese Folk Paper-cutting In Illustration Design

As one of the long-standing folk arts of the Chinese nation,the art of paper-cutting is not only the maternal art on which artistic creation depends,but also an artistic technique with great development potential,which contains a deep national artistic gene.In the national culture with a long history,paper-cutting has experienced more than a thousand years of development with the change and ups and downs of the society.It has not disappeared but stood firm in the torrent of the times,which fully reflects its own stable and lively characteristics.Unique artistic language and cultural connotation are the key link for development.Illustration art also has a long history at home and abroad.Humans have learned the behavior of using pictures instead of language for expression from a long time ago,but illustrations first appeared with the invention of printing technology.With the development of modern society,economy and culture,and the continuous advancement of technology,the style and form of illustration art are becoming more and more diversified.It also brought too much imitation and study of foreign illustrations,and inevitably lost the attention and exploration of the national culture.In recent years,because the country has strengthened the protection and promotion of traditional culture,illustrations have also set off a national trend.There are more similarities between the art of paper-cutting and the art of illustration in terms of shape and color.Through the research and comparison of folk paper-cutting and illustration art modeling,color,etc.,this paper tries to integrate the paper-cutting art with national characteristics into the illustration organically and scientifically,so as to inject more national new energy and bring the Illustration art with Chinese characteristics glows brightly and illuminates tradition.This article is divided into four chapters.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the background of the topic selection,the research status at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of the research,the research methods and the overall framework of the research.The first chapter mainly discusses the related theories of folk paper-cutting,from the development history,style characteristics and expression forms of folk paper-cutting.The second chapter is mainly about the application status of paper-cutting in illustration design,discussing the development history,expression form,style characteristics of illustration design and so on.The third chapter discusses the method of integration from the aspects of modeling thinking and graphic language on the basis of the theories of the first and second chapters,and innovates by combining folk paper-cutting and illustration design from the expression style of illustration design.The fourth chapter uses folk paper-cut modeling principles to create theme illustrations in the graphical language of modern illustration design.
