Humanistic Care In Contemporary Jewelry Design

With the acceleration of economic development and globalization,as one of the original art civilizations,the jewellery art has been added in new materials,new conceptions and new technologies during the cultural blending constantly,which has made the jewelry have the characteristics of the times and present more patterns of manifestation.Contemporary jewelry is not just an ornament,but also carries multiple emotions and psychological expectations of human.Thus,the function of contemporary jewelry has turned from paying attention to religious and social functions to a new form,which centers on decoration and expression of humanistic emotions.Facing the fast-paced life nowadays,people have had psychological subhealth more or less.As the decorations worn by people everyday,whether can we realize humanistic care by paying attention to psychological health through design? In this way,we can design the jewelry which can relieve psychological pressure or worry function of people.This is the topic that the article focuses on.This article has studied and discussed the humanistic care in the design of contemporary jewelry.By utilizing the case analysis method and combination of multi-subjects method,it has pointed out the way of use and presentation effect of humanistic care in the design of contemporary jewelry and analyzed and summarized the functions of jewelry.This paper takes a series of graduation works about “Jewelry Designed for OCD Patients” as the case and interprets the specific application and test results of humanistic care in contemporary jewelry design.It has discussed that while paying attention to spirits of human under the innovation of contemporary jewelry,more possibilities of jewelry should be explored,so as to reach the goal of designing for people and serving people,so that jewelry can realize the social values of humanistic care in the new era.
