The overall structure of the walking reheating furnace is complicated. From bottom to top,it mainly includes inclined bottom bearing, lifting structure, translation structure, etc.,among which the bottom machinery is the key component, and the main structure for carrying and transporting billets in the reheating furnace is the staggered fixed and movable water beams are composed together.Because the water beam not only bears the huge static load of the billet during the working process, but also is subjected to load impact and thermal load, the working environment is very harsh.During the work process, cracks and water leakage will occur at the welds of the water beams. In severe cases, the production line will be suspended, causing economic losses to the entire steel plant.Research to solve this problem is of great significance for ensuring continuous production of equipment, reducing unexpected accidents, reducing operating costs and improving economic benefits. The main research work is as follows:(1)Using the thermo-elastic-plastic finite element method to analyze the effect of the pad welding on the water beam, the mechanical and thermodynamic numerical analysis was carried out,and the changes of the temperature field, stress field and deformation field during the welding process were obtained. The purpose is to provide follow-up Welding process optimization is providing data comparison.(2)Using finite element analysis method, the influence of different welding methods on the residual stress and deformation of welded parts is studied. The results show that the different welding methods have a significant impact on the residual stress and deformation of the welded parts. After the peak value comparison, the best one among the six welding schemes is found.(3)Using the finite element analysis method, the influence of the length of the cooling time between the welds on the equivalent stress, transverse residual stress, and longitudinal residual stress at the weld is studied. The results show that the length of cooling time has little effect on the above indicators and axial strain.(4)Using the finite element analysis method, the influence of the spacing distribution of thermal insulation pads on the residual stress and strain of the water beam was studied.By comparison, the optimal spacer arrangement spacing is 60 mm.(5)Using the combination of ABAQUES and Fe-safe software, the influence of welding residual stress on the fatigue life of the water beam structure was studied. On this basis, the optimal pad spacing and welding method were determined. The research results have certain reference value for improving welding quality and increasing the service life of water beams. This article introduces the use, working principle and main structure of the walking heating furnace. On the basis of summarizing the literature,it discusses the current situation, existing problems and development trends of the walking heating furnace, and clarifies the purpose and significance of the subject research. It provides a reference for improving the service life of the water beam of the heating furnace.
