To improve the mechanical properties of consumable cartridge case with hexogen(RDX)and cellulose acetate(CA),the effects of proper amount of plasticizers and carbon fiber(CF)on the mechanical properties of consumable cartridge case.Then,the solubility of supercritical carbon dioxide(SC-CO2)in consumable cartridge case was studied by changing the process condition,and microcellular consumable cartridge case was prepared by supercritical carbon dioxide foaming technology,and the effects of process conditions on the cell morphology and mechanical properties of microcellular consumable cartridge case were studied.The results show that the processability and tensile strength of consumable cartridge case can be improved by adding glycerol triacetate(GT)and triethyl citrate(TEC)separately,but the impact strength of consumable cartridge case is not improved obviously.However,the impact strength and tensile strength of consumable cartridge case is greatly improved by adding CF.The impact strength,tensile strength of consumable cartridge case with 1.0%CF is 60.47%,79.90%higher than the sample with none CF respectively.The adsorption process of SC-CO2 on consumable cartridge case with 1.0%CF is carried out in stages,the final equilibrium state is basically reached when the saturation time is about10 h.The solubility of SC-CO2 increases with the increase of saturation time,saturation pressure and sample thickness,and decreases with the increase of saturation temperature.Microcellular consumable cartridge case was prepared by two steps foaming process,and the cell density is higher than pressure quench foaming process,and the addition of CF can improve the foaming performance.By changing foaming conditions,the foaming temperature and the foaming should not high.The density,expansion rate and porosity of consumable cartridge case are related to the degree of foaming.The expansion rate and porosity increase with the increase of saturation pressure,foaming temperature and foaming time,and decrease with the increase of saturation temperature,and the change rule of density is the opposite to theirs.Finally,microcellular consumable cartridge case with 1.0%CF was prepared by using a restricted mold and two steps foaming process.The impact strength of microcellular consumable cartridge case can be improved by proper increasing saturation pressure and saturation temperature,and the maximum is 5.54 k J·m-2 at 20 MPa in the range of 10 MPa?25MPa,and the maximum is 5.69 k J·m-2 at 50?in the range of 40??60?.However,with the increase of saturation time,foaming time and foaming temperature,the impact strength of microcellular consumable cartridge case decreases,and it is appropriate to control the saturation time,foaming temperature and foaming time of microcellular consumable cartridge case at 6h,120??130? and 60s.
