Ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting is a kind of special machining technology,in which high frequency vibration is added to the tool to change the cutting mechanism,improve the machining quality and reduce the cutting force.With the development of ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting.It has developed two-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting technology and three-dimensional ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting technology from the traditional one-dimensional ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting technology.High dimensional ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting technology is an important trend in this field.Therefore,in order to explore the characteristics of three-dimensional ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting technology.In this paper,a two driving three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting device is designed.The theoretical and Experimental Research on three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting is carried out.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the working principle and composition of elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting device,a two driving three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting device is designed.The kinematic model of the tool of the ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting device is established.The kinematic characteristics of the device are simulated by the finite element simulation method,which proves that the device can achieve the expected tool vibration track.(2)Based on the orthogonal cutting model of metal,the theoretical model of cutting force for the three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting is established in combination with the kinematic characteristics of cutting tools,and the theoretical analysis of cutting force is carried out.The ABAQUS ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting simulation model is established,which can be used in convention cutting,one-dimensional ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting,elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting and three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting.The cutting force is simulated,and the mechanism of reducing the cutting force of several ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting methods is analyzed comprehensively and systematically.(3)From the point of view of the surface roughness and residual stress of the workpiece,this paper studies the surface machining quality of the workpiece in the three dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting,studies the mechanism of the surface morphology forming,compares and analyzes the surface morphology characteristics of the workpiece of two machining methods,theoretically analyzes the workpiece surface roughness of the two machining methods,and establishes the ABAQUS residual stress simulation model is used to simulate the residual stress of workpiece in three dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting.(4)A prototype of the two driving three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting device is manufactured,and an experimental platform for ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting is built.The surface roughness and chip characteristics of the three-dimensional elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting are tested and studied by comparing with the elliptical ultrasonic assisted vibration cutting.
