Using a barrel grinder to remove burrs on the surface of stamping parts and other processed workpieces,and reducing surface roughness is a process commonly used in mass production.In the past,ordinary rotary barrel grinders were generally used to complete this work,and the workpieces and abrasive grains were loaded When the roller rotates at a low speed,the workpiece and abrasive grains fall continuously in the barrel by gravity,and collide,squeeze and rub against each other to remove burrs,and remove rust and dirt on the surface of the workpiece.This kind of barrel grinder is generally less efficient and noisy,and is mostly used for rough machining of larger parts.With the development of modern industry,a variety of new high-performance grinding equipment is constantly emerging,but the theoretical research on related aspects is still relatively lagging.The revolving axis of the horizontal planetary grinder studied in this paper is perpendicular to the rotation axis,and the simulation analysis of the medium in the drum of the horizontal planetary grinder whose revolving axis is perpendicular to the rotation axis has not been reported.The horizontal planetary grinding machine explores the influence of equipment and processing parameters,drum installation form and drum cavity style on the polishing efficiency of the grinding machine for the research object,and provides a reference for the optimization design of the grinding machine and the selection of processing parameters.First of all,this article summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign grinding machine media movement theory,summarizes the development status of grinding equipment,and introduces the basic theory of media discrete element method.The media mechanics EDEM analysis software and the working principle of the horizontal planetary grinder and the planetary motion mode are explained,which lays a theoretical foundation for the numerical simulation of the horizontal planetary grinder.At the same time,the energy of the medium system in the horizontal planetary grinder is analyzed.Introduced and explained the factors that affect the grinding efficiency during the movement of the horizontal planetary grinding machine.Secondly,using the contact energy between the two media in the grinder barrel as a reference basis,the EDEM software is used to simulate the movement process of the media system in the drum.For different processing parameters,drum installation forms,and drum cavity styles,the results are obtained through a single factor analysis The law of its influence on the contact energy between the workpiece and the abrasive particles in the drum,combined with the number of collisions between the workpiece and the abrasive particles,the relative collision speed,contact force,etc.,finally obtains the reasonable conditions for the polishing process of the horizontal planetary grinder.
