As one of the most widely used thermosetting resin,epoxy resin has been commonly applied in the electrical and electronics industry.Compared with pure epoxy resin,epoxy nanocomposites have showed better electrical and mechanical properties.In this study,to improve the insulation performance of epoxy resin composites,three kinds of nano-fillers,including cellulose nanofibers(CNF),metal organic frameworks(MOF)and barium titanate carbon nitride carbon dopamine(BaTiO3-C3N4-PDA),were successfully synthesized,and then introduced as fillers into epoxy resin.The epoxy resin composites with various filler types and filler loadings were prepared,and the microstructure,thermal properties,dielectric properties and surface charge dissipation properties of the composites were investigated.The results showed that the electrical insulation and charge dissipation properties of epoxy resin composite were improved by adding nano-fillers appropriately.With the addition of CNF,the breakdown strength of the composite decreased,however,with the increase of filler loading,the charge dissipation of the composite gradually increased and exceeded that of the pure epoxy resin.Epoxy resin composites with MOF exhibited lower dielectric loss and higher breakdown strength than pure epoxy resin.Furthermore,the barium titanate was used as the core,and the graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)and dopamine hydrochloride(HPDA)were wrapped in the outer layer to form a three-layer structure,which effectively prevented the free charge from entering the inner layer in the process of electrification.The charge dissipation of the composite with 7 wt.%BaTiO3-C3N4-PDA increased by 30%as compared to that of pure epoxy resin.This work showed that the properties of epoxy resin can be effectively regulated and improved by filling epoxy resin with nano-filler.This study presented the theoretical and practical significance for the practical application of epoxy resin composites in the field of electrical insulation.
