| 6xxx series aluminum alloys have high strength and excellent electrical conductivity, but have high quenching sensitivity, which further affects the further improvement of the mechanical properties of the alloy. In order to study the high-strength aluminum alloy Conductive Material, this study micro-alloyed 2xxx series high-strength aluminum alloys and improved the alloy properties by adding rare earth element Y.Research has found that rare earth element alloying is one of the methods that can effectively improve the comprehensive properties of aluminum alloys. The overall performance of the aluminum alloy was further improved by formula design, heat treatment process design and material property testing of the alloy material, and the following conclusions were obtained:(1)Under the T6 heat treatment process, different aging treatments have different effects on the micro structure, hardness, electrical conductivity, and room temperature mechanical properties of the Al-Cu-Mg alloy. The results show that the electrical conductivity, hardness and strength of the alloy at the initial stage of aging increase with the increase of aging temperature and time. When the temperature is about 200℃,a large number of precipitated phases begin to appear in the alloy. The hardness and tensile strength will reach the peak plateau when the aging temperature is 200℃,and then it will start to decrease sharply.(2)The main precipitation strengthening phase in the Al-Cu-Mg alloy with a copper-magnesium ratio close to 3 is the S(Al2CuMg)phase.Increasing the content of Cu in the aluminum alloy can obtain more S phases, which greatly improves the alloy.Room temperature strength. The research in this paper found that when the content of Cu element is in the range of 3.3~3.6%,the content of Mg element is about 1.1%,the content of rare earth Y is 0.03%,and high strength and conductivity can be obtained after aging at 205℃ for 4~6h.(3)The addition of the rare earth element Y content can reduce the solid solubility of Cu and Mg elements in the alloy, and promote the precipitation of Cu and Mg elements to change the number of precipitated phases in the alloy, thereby affecting the overall performance of the aluminum alloy. In the Al-Cu-Mg alloy, the addition amount of rare earth Y must be small and moderate.Within a certain range,as the content of Y increases, the electrical conductivity of the alloy decreases first and then increases, and the strength of the alloy increases first and then decreases significantly. The appropriate addition amount of rare earth Y is 0.03%~0.05%. |
