Shanxi Noodle Sculpture was born with people’s production and life,and its form has strong folk custom characteristics from the beginning of its formation.It contains the people’s national spirit and national identity,and contains the people’s spiritual value,way of thinking and cultural consciousness.As an artistic expression of folk culture,its distinctive regional characteristics and strong customs reflect the rich cultural connotation of the local area;as an artistic expression of folk sculpture art,it inherits the cultural heritage of traditional Chinese folk art.In traditional Chinese folk culture,the aesthetic concept of freehand brushwork runs through all fields of Chinese art,and freehand brushwork is also a typical representative of the entire national artistic concept,and the art of facial sculpture is no exception.This article mainly conducts detailed research on the following content:Starting from the origin and development of dough sculpture,geographical distribution and the development history of Shanxi dough sculpture,analyze the production tools and production techniques of Shanxi dough sculpture,and make dough sculpture.The randomness in the technique is the starting point.A detailed case analysis is carried out on the rich face-shaping styles and color expressions of the face-sculpture in different regions and different folk activities in Shanxi,to explore and summarize the freehand features of the face-sculpture in the modeling language and color concept.A comparative analysis method was used to compare the artistic style of Shanxi noodle sculptures with other representative regional noodle sculptures,to further demonstrate the unique freehand characteristics of Shanxi noodle sculptures,and to summarize the spirit of traditional Shanxi noodle sculptures,as the public’s way of understanding it.The continuation and accumulation of the results,combined with the aesthetics of sculpture art,has found a new direction for the inheritance and development of Shanxi noodle sculptures.
