Study On Polymer Based Intelligent Composite Materials And Devices | | Posted on:2021-05-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:R J Wang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2481306308986309 | Subject:Chemical Engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Intelligent materials refer to a kind of synthetic materials with one or more unique properties.The materials can respond to one or more environmental changes because its characteristics can be significantly changed under different external stimuli.A variety of controllable,personalized intelligent materials had been designed to respond to different environments by using these different trigger mechanisms.Intelligent mobile robot is one of the hotspots fields of intelligent materials.The motion continuity and variability of flexible materials can make the robots pass through unpredictable obstacles.Various intelligent response materials are being used to produce sensors.The purpose of this study is to design and produce intelligent response,diving materials and devices for underwater environment.Achieved the following research goals:A variety of 2-mehtoxyethyl acrylate(MEA)-stearyl acrylate(SA)composite materials were prepared and the most appropriate ratio was selected.Firstly,DSC test shows that the composite material has obvious crystal region which can change the density of the material.Then the shape memory and self-healing properties of the composite material were tested.Using those properties,a variety of devices are designed which can realize a variety of underwater motions.Finally,the foam material was prepared by using Dow 184(PDMS)and the device can realize diving and walking under water.Using N-isopropyl acrylamide(NIPAM)and alkyl acrylate with different side chain alkyl length to prepare various kinds of semicrystalline physical hydrogels.XRD and swelling performance and deswelling performance of the hydrogels ware tested,then the swelling rate of some samples had been quantitatively analyzed,the results show that the deswelling behavior of the two kind of hydrogels can be represented by first order kinetics equation.Finally,the relationship between transmittance and temperature of the hydrogels was tested and analyzed.The hydrogels which can achieve reversible changes in transmittance with temperature had been prepared.MMA-NIPAM series hydrogels and St-NIPAM series hydrogels were prepared and their swelling performance,deswelling performance and mechanical properties were tested.It was found that the swelling behavior of the two kinds of hydrogels accords with the first-order kinetic equation.Finally,the ratio of hydrogel with good mechanical properties was obtained through its mechanical properties. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | smart materials, underwater motion, simulation, hydrogel, swelling property | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
