Study On The Application Of The Typical Elements Of Liangshan Yi Lacquerware In The Design Of Tea Tables And Chairs

The lacquer ware from Yi tribe bears the development history of Yi life culture,known as one of the traditional culture.With the fast development of our society and prosperity,as well as the impact from Han culture and other foreign cultures,it is no longer a practical tool in Yi’s life,but a carrier of traditional and modern culture.The Yi lacquer ware should become multi-dimensional bases on keeping own national features,to entrust constant vitality in Yi lacquer ware culture,modernization transformation must be achieved.By relevant studies and field research,understanding the development of Yi lacquer ware like tables,chairs and cabinets in both traditional and modern furniture in local Liang Shan region,we found that traditional Yi furniture was slowly replaced under the influence of times,as the same time culture development prompts Yi tribe to focus on inheritance and developments.Thus it leads the appearance of Yi lacquer ware in modern lacquer furniture.By analyzing on the current Yi lacquer furniture,we found the demand factor of the Yi’s characteristic tables and chairs in the lives of modern people.As starting point,combining the lacquer ware and furniture design.The tribe symbolism can be seen from its color,modeling and pattern.By analyzing on the current design,combine with modern design concept,explore on the fit point of lacquer ware element as well as modern Yi design,in order to prove the feasibility of applying Yi lacquer ware element in table and chair design.The cultural spread does not only reply within the tribe,but also communication with external tribes.To ensure the practical tool equips with both Yi pattern and multi ethnic aesthetics.Yi people and others can accept such product in their modern life and achieve in a better economical benefit,continuously develop in Yi lacquer ware.Design makes Yi lacquer ware not only a collection in museum but also a new way of stepping into modern life,resulted in inheritance and cultural development in traditional Chinese culture.
