Application Research On Traditional Lacquer-coating Craft In Fashion Bag Design

Today,with the improvement of people's spiritual realm and the growing material resource,the fashion luggage is not only being used for packing things but also stands for the manifestation of people's lifestyle.The significance of fashion luggage is far more than its practical value.Its existence also embodies people's spiritual pursuit and the development trend of times' fashion and culture.The development of economy has waken China's cultural consciousness.With the gradual rise of Chinese consumers' cultural identity,the simply imitation of the western design of luggage is out of fashion.In contrast,the newly-designed luggage injected with personalized element and cultural connotation has become the new trend of Chinese fashion luggage's innovation.The traditional lacquer-coating craft has a history of over 8000 years.The application of that craft in luggage design is futuristic.This thesis takes the lacquer-coating craft as the starting point of this paper's innovation.This thesis concluded the features of the lacquer-coating craft and analyzed from different angles the value and significance that the craft may bring to the China's fashion luggage market,and proposed several methods of applying this craft in fashion luggage design.In the beginning,this paper has explained the relevant concept of fashion luggage and lacquer-coating craft and has concluded the current trend of nationalization after analyzing the domestic market.This paper tried to concluded the possibility of applying the lacquer-coating craft in today through the brief introduction of this craft and demonstrated the current situation of lacquer-coating craft in fashion luggage design.Then the insufficient development of lacquer-coating craft has formed as the focus of this paper.Later,this paper has analyzed the ways of utilization of the lacquer-coating craft in traditional utensils and concluded that it has significance and value when being adopted in fashion luggage design.Then the innovative applying methods will be proposed based on the research emphasis mentioned above and the significance of research.In the end,the innovation of this paper will be elaborated through the innovation of language,the diversity of material and the decoration methods.The study of design practices will further prove the possibilities of the application of the lacquer-coating craft and the new forms integrated the traditional lacquer-coating craft with fashion luggage will be created.
