Agriculture and forestry biomass materials is a kind of material that includes grain plants and vines woody plants and herbs such as forest plants and renewable biomass resources and their contents as well as processing residues,used wood waste and forestry waste as raw materials or substrate material.It can be processed into a kind of material with environmental friendliness,excellent performance,wide application,high added value,various functions and modern new technology characteristics through biological,chemical and physical technological means.In this paper,a series of agricultural and forestry biomass materials were pretreated with p-toluene sulfonic acid,and the treated materials were used to prepare wood-plastic composite materials.At present,the utilization of agricultural and forestry biomass mainly needs the help of coupling agents,so that it can be used.The main research results in more fields are as follows.(1)The biomass powder with hydrophobic property was prepared by using p-toluene sulfonic acid.It was found that p-toluene sulfonic acid had a better modification effect on agricultural and forestry biomass materials with higher lignin content.Scanning electron microscope results showed that the surface morphology of wood fiber changed and the surface area of wood fiber increased.Through FTIR and XPS results,it can be concluded that the hydrophobic substance powder prepared by modification of ptoluene sulfonic acid is hydrophobic due to the change of the composition and structure of wood fiber itself and the possible redistribution of lignin,rather than the chemical reaction between p-toluene sulfonic acid and wood fiber.(2)The light plank was modified by p-toluene sulfonic acid.The contact angle test,FTIR and XPS analysis showed that the modified light plank had certain hydrophobicity through the change of its own chemical composition.It was observed by SEM that p-toluenesulfonic acid damaged the cell wall of the low density light wood material,and made it have the property similar to sponge in the compression cross section direction.Through preliminary contact experiments with diesel oil and water,it can be concluded that the modified light wood has the potential to realize oil-water separation.(3)Wood-plastic composites were prepared by using p-toluene sulfonate hydrophobic modified wood powder and high-density polyethylene without coupling agent.The mechanical properties of modified hydrophobic wood powder and high-density polyethylene(HDPE)composite material were tested,and the mechanical properties of modified hydrophobic wood powder and HDPE composite material were better than that of unmodified wood powder.Through scanning electron microscope observation of tensile fracture surface and dynamic mechanical analysis,it can be found that the interfacial bonding between modified wood powder and plastic substrate is significantly better than that between unmodified wood powder.This is because the polarity of modified wood powder is greatly weakened and it can be better combined with plastic substrate.Through thermogravimetric analysis,it can be concluded that the thermal stability of composite material prepared by modified wood powder has not been optimized.
