Research On The Expression And Application Of Material Language In Manual Books

In the long history of mankind,books have always been an important medium for the dissemination of knowledge.With the development of materials and technologies,book materials have been changing.It was not until the printing and papermaking technologies were mature that book materials were stabilized in paper materials.With the rapid development of information environment and the emergence of more and more diverse media,people have put forward more artistic and emotional needs for books.Manual books are favored by more and more designers because they are full of manual warmth and artistic form.Handmade books have more freedom in material selection because they are not limited by printing techniques.Materials naturally bring their own emotional factors,different materials will bring people different feelings.The application of materials with reasonable collocation of manual books can make the works more rich and moving,which can not only break through the traditional book form to meet the modern people's curiosity,but also interact with the audience through the "five senses".This paper mainly focuses on the exploration and application of material language in manual books.Firstly,this paper studies and summarizes the physical characteristics,texture feeling,touch and taste of different materials,and tries to theorize the artistic feeling,so as to provide theoretical clues for more designers to choose.Secondly,this paper analyzes the reasons for material selection in different types of manual books,and tries to summarize the principles of material selection in manual books,so as to help more book designers find materials correctly.Finally,the paper summarizes the positive impact of the correct use of material language on book design,through which more designers are encouraged to explore new materials and explore the richer value and more possibilities of book design.This paper mainly USES the method of comparative analysis to summarize the characteristics of various materials,and through the case analysis of excellent manual books,introduces the application principles ofmaterials in manual books.The last chapter presents the author's own manual book design work.From the theme positioning,material selection,to the detailed production of the manual book exploration design process.
