Metal fiber is an important filter material in high efficiency filters.It enables efficient removal of nanoscale aerosol particles.Therefore,this thesis uses the self-designed fiber filtration test bench to conduct experiments on the dust holding performance of metal fibers.Firstly,the dust-proof experiment was carried out on the flat metal fiber,and the comparison experiment was carried out with metal fiber and glass fiber with different filtration precision.The metal dust-retaining performance of different filtration precisions is obtained through experiments.The fibers with small filtration precision can accommodate more aerosols;the metal fiber dust-preserving performance is better than that of glass fibers.The metal fiber dust-preserving stage was learned through experiments:internal filtration stage,transition filtration stage,and filter cake filtration stage.The size of the flow rate does not affect the structure of the filter cake on the fiber.The metal fiber with different filtration precision forms a different filter cake structure,and the filter cake structure becomes looser as the fiber filtration precision increases.Based on the experimental results of planar metal fibers and the requirements of the internal structure of high-efficiency filters,the experiment of pleated metal fiber dust-preserving experiments was carried out.Based on the experimental results of planar metal fibers and the requirements of the internal structure of high-efficiency filters,the experiment of pleated metal fiber dust-preserving experiments was carried out.The investigation of dust-preserving experiments on flat metal fibers and pleated metal fibers can understand the filtration characteristics and resistance characteristics of metal fibers,and can provide parameters for the design of high-efficiency filters in the future.
