Today,with the continuous improvement of processing technology,machining accuracy,processing efficiency,processing quality requirements are also rising,ceramic bond CBN grinding wheel by virtue of its excellent performance,has become a wheel of the future development of new trends.The purpose of this study is to study the grindability of Ni based alloy by vitrified bond wheel.At the same time,The effect of different properties nano materials on grinding wheel was investigated.Nano vitrified bond grinding wheel and common vitrified bond grinding wheel were prepared respectively,and grinding experiment of GH4169 nickel base superalloy was carried out.The surface roughness,grinding temperature and grinding force of the workpiece in the grinding process were measured respectively.(1)The results show that nano particles with different mass fraction have great influence on the properties of vitrified bond.When the content of nano SiO2 is 10%and the content of nano Al2O3 is 5%,the indexes such as refractoriness,fluidity and mechanical strength of the binder are obviously improved.By EMX analysis,the bond between the binder and abrasive particles are well bonded,and the pores and various materials are dispersed evenly.(2)In this paper,two kinds of vitrified bond grinding wheels were prepared,and the orthogonal grinding experiments were carried out on nickel base alloy.The change law of surface roughness of nickel base alloy under different parameters was studied.The experimental results show that when the cutting speed at 20m/s,the feed speed at 1.2m/min,the cutting depth at 40um,the surface mass Ra value of experimental workpiece reaches the minimum state in all experimental data.With the increase of the grinding wheel speed,the surface roughness values of the two kinds of grinding wheels all show a downward trend.Comparing the two groups of experiments,it is found that the nano vitrified bond CBN wheel has better performance,and the former has smaller surface roughness on the surface quality.(3)The results show that the nano vitrified bond grinding wheel can produce smaller grinding force in the two grinding processes,and the reduction of grinding force also reduces the energy consumed.Therefore,the heat generated during grinding decreases.Under the same working conditions,the grinding temperature of nano vitrified bond grinding wheel is about 15-20 degrees lower than that the ordinary grinding wheel.(4)When the SPH method is applied to the grinding simulation,the grinding motion and chip formation process are consistent with the actual grinding process and grinding theory analysis,which shows the accuracy of the method applied in grinding simulation research.
