Phosphorus is a harmful element to most steel,and many high quality steel requires low levels of phosphorus.Because it is carried out in the reducing atmosphere that we do steel products,the removal rate of phosphorus is very low,and phosphorus removal is an important part of the process of steel making.This paper begins with influence of temperature,slag alkalinity and(FeO)on the content of phosphorus was studied from the thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of phosphorus removal in top blowing converter.With the decrease of conversion temperature difference,the end point phosphorus removal rate is increasing.Each time the conversion temperature difference decreases by 10?,the endpoint phosphorus removal rate increases by about 1.4%.When the conversion temperature difference is less than 17?,the endpoint phosphorus removal rate is greater than 85%.With the increase of overheat,the end point phosphorus removal rate is increasing first and then decreasing.In order to ensure that the phosphorus removal rate is greater than 85%,the overheat value of slag should be 204?220?.At the same time,the research shows that the phosphorus removal effect of 1500?temperature converter is the best,and the alkalinity of 3.0 and 14%?18%(FeO)are more conducive to phosphorus removal.The study of the effect of different flaring modes on phosphorus removal in 80t converter smelting of Tangshan Guofeng Iron and Steel companies.shows that:Under the same smelting conditions,the top bottom flaring converter has a lower temperature than the top flaring converter.,higher slag alkalinity,higher(FeO)quantity,In terms of temperature,slag alkalinity,and(FeO),there are advantages over the top blowing converter in terms of phosphorus removal.The phosphorus removal efficiency is 85%,and the phosphorus removal efficiency of the top blowing converter under the same conditions can only reach 81%.At the same time as shortening the smelt cycle,the bottom converter also creates conditions for the production of ultra-low phosphorus steel in steel mills.
