With the rapid development of electronic products,aluminum alloy has become the main structural material of smart phones.Although the types of aluminum alloy and manufacturing process are different,it is very important for the smart phone manufacturers to improve the production efficiency and reduce production costs as the smart phone market competition becomes more and more steep.Producing the middle plate of the smart phone by stamping process is an ideal method with many advantages such as high metal utilization ratio,low mechanical processing quantity,high production efficiency and low cost.At present,the related research on aluminum alloy sheet for smart phones is limited in China.The alloys and the manufacturing process of the aluminum sheet for producing smart phone by stamping process are needed to develop.Based on the development situation of aluminum alloy used in smart phone and the actual demand of aluminum processing enterprises,this paper mainly studies on the preparation technology of 5XXX aluminum alloy sheet for mobile phones.The main research contents of this paper include:(1)effect of magnesium content on microstructure and properties of the 5XXX aluminum alloy.(2)effect of rolling and annealing process on microstructure and properties of the 5XXX aluminum alloy.(3)effect of zirconium and vanadium on microstructure and properties of the 5XXX aluminum alloy.The results show that:(1)As the magnesium content increased from 5.0wt.%to 6.5wt.%,the tensile strength of the plate,which rolled with 65.7%cold deformation and annealed at 130? for 30 minutes,increased continuously.The tensile strength along the rolling direction increased from 426.0MPa to 485.0MPa,the tensile strength of the 45° direction of the rolling direction increased from 421.0MPa to 467.5MPa,the tensile strength of the vertical rolling direction increased from 426.0MPa to 487.5MPa.(2)When the magnesium content was 5.5wt.%,as the annealing temperature increased from 130? to 450?,the tensile strength along the rolling direction(with the cold rolling deformation of 65.7%)constantly decrease from 457.5MPa(the cold rolling state)to 300.4MPa(annealed at 300?),and then the strength no longer decreased with the increasing of the annealed temperature.(3)When the plates were annealed at 130? for 30 minutes,with the total deformation of the second cold rolling increased from 45.2%to 75.0%,the tensile strength along the rolling direction increased from 412.5MPa to 450.0MPa,the tensile strength of the 45° direction of the rolling direction increased from 390.0MPa to 465.0MPa,the tensile strength of the vertical rolling direction increased from 390.0MPa to 455.0MPa.(4)When the magnesium content was 5.5wt.%,the mechanical properties of the plate,which annealed at 130? for 30 minutes,was the most uniform in different directions when the second cold rolling deformation is 60.9%,the strength and elongation along the rolling direction were 430MPa and 9%respectively,the strength and elongation of the vertical rolling were 412.5MPa and 11.5%respectively,and the strength and elongation of the 45° direction of the rolling direction were 412.5 MPa and 14.0%respectively.(5)When the magnesium content was 5.5wt.%,the mechanical properties of the plate after microelement zirconium(0.05?0.20wt.%)and vanadium(0.05?0.15wt.%)addition,as the second cold rolling deformation was 60.9%,which annealed at 130? for 30 minutes,was not changed obviously.When the zirconium content was 0.05?0.20wt.%,the tensile strength of the plate varied from 415.5MPa to 430.0MPa,when the vanadium content was 0.05?0.15wt.%,the tensile strength of the plate changed between 427.5MPa and 430.0MPa.In summary,with the addition of 5.5%magnesium and the second cold rolling deformation of 60.9%,the mechanical properties of the plate,which annealed at 130? for 30minutes,meet the requirements basically.
