| The width accuracy is an important indicator of the quality of hot strip.The precision of width control mainly depends on the spread model.Based on the background of rough rolling project of a factory,the width control model of continuous rough rolling process is studied.The finite element method is used to analyze the process of continuous rough rolling.The width mathematical model is established and verified.The specific contents include:(1)Due to the deformation in grooves is not flat rolling process,so partition method is used for the rolled piece.The plate is divided into five zones along the width direction,the part of plate after rolling with two symmetrical grooves on both sides are defined as zone I,the part of plate after rolling with inner diameter is defined as zone III,the two transition parts of plate are defined as zone Ⅱ.The width and the rolling force of each region are calculated separately,and then the width and the rolling force are added together.(2)Using the DEFORM-3D to analysis the continuous rough rolling process of forced spread.The three-dimensional finite element modeling process is described in detail,including the selection of process parameters,the establishment of three-dimensional geometric model,the selection of element type,the setting of material model,the division strategy of simulation model mesh,the definition of contact types and constraints,step length and stop standard setting.(3)The accuracy of the finite element model is verified by the actual production data.The differences between the forced spread process and the conventional rolling process are studied to verify the effect of forced spread,including the comparison of the profile after rolling and the transverse strain contrast of each stand.Different angle of groove roof of inner diameter,different groove roof width of inner diameter,different friction coefficient and different rolling schedule are used to find the optimum parameters.(4)Using the production data and the result of finite element simulation to verify the mathematical model of forced spread.The mathematical model of the calculation results is in a good agreement with the actual production data and the finite element simulation results,and achieved a good control effect,the width accuracy of 0-5mm.It is very suitable for online control because of its high efficiency and precision. |
