In this paper,several different new types of rubber/fiber composites with better performance and wider application is prepared by using nitrile rubber and poiyurethane rubber as matrix and fiber as reinforcing material.First,NBR/fiber composites are prepared by using nitrile rubber as composite matrix,several different fiber fabrics as reinforcing materials and epoxy resin as adhesive between reinforcement and matrix.The effect of fiber fabric types on the puncture resistance of NBR/fiber composites is discussed.The results show that the properties of NBR/thick polyester composite is the best among several NBR/fiber composites,whether in terms of tensile properties,tearing properties or anti-puncture properties.Therefore,thick polyester fiber is the best reinforcing fiber material in this research.At the same time,the effects of different kinds of adhesives on the hardness and puncture resistance of NBR/fiber composites are also discussed.The results show that the hardness of NBR/thick polyester composites decreased with the increase of low molecular weight polyamide dosage,and the puncture resistance increased with the increase of low molecular weight polyamide dosage.Furthermore,when the low molecular weight polyamide is used as curing agent of epoxy resin adhesive and the mass ratio of 2:1 to epoxy resin,the composite has the best comprehensive performance.The effect of the combination of peroxide BIPB and sulfur were used as NBR composite vulcanization system,on the mechanical properties of NBR was also investigated.The results showed that both S and BIPB are the auxiliary vulcanizer of each other,which could improve the crosslinking degree of rubber.When S is used as vulcanizing aid and BIPB is used as main vulcanizing agent,the crosslinking density of the system could be promoted and the vulcanization time could be shortened.On the contrary,when BIPB is used as vulcanizing aid and S as main vulcanizing agent,the promotion effect is not obvious.It is also found that when BIPB and S are used together,the comprehensive mechanical properties of NBR were the best when S is 1.5parts and BIPB is 0.5 parts.The vulcanization system of polyurethane rubber is studied.The results show that when TDI and BIPB are used as curing agent of MPU,BIPB had almost no effect on vulcanization.When BIPB is used as curing agent alone,the comprehensive mechanical properties of MPU is the best when the amount of BIPB is 5phr.Finally,the effect of the combination of NBR and MPU on the properties of the material is studied.The results show that the MPU/NBR composite prepared by directly compounding,MPU and NBR can integrate the advantages of the two kinds of rubber,not only have maintain high comprehensive mechanical properties,but also have excellent wear resistance.
