This thesis will mainly analyze how R company,a major iron ore supplier made its strategic transformation facing the volatile steel industry in China.It will first present the results of exterior environment analysis,including general situation of iron ore industry,iron ore demand and supply,pricing,capacity reform in China steel industry,and status of main competitors.Being the main analytical tool,PEST theory will be used to analyze the exterior environment focusing on four factors: political,economic,sociocultural and technological.Then it will introduce and analyze the strategic transformation of R company,using tools such as SWOT,to be followed with presentation of major problems with improvement plans.In the conclusion,it will certify the necessity of corporate strategic transformation by analyzing the case of R company. |
