With the rapid development of industry,people give more higher request to the flame detection for accident prevention and loss reduction.The new combined flame detector is a very important task in flame detection field.By analyzing the infrared and imaging flame detection,a new combined flame detector is presented in this paper.Because of wider application of image processing algorithm,the imaging flame detector is becoming the main developing direction in the future.But the image algorithms are very complex and need high hardware cost.This design add the infrared sensor into the detector as a reference to simplify the algorithm.And using the FPGA parallelism processing capability,it raises the processing speed.Firstly,the paper use the MATLAB to simulate the combined flame recognition algorithm.After it,the recognition is accomplish by FPGA.And the signal collection and storing module are also finished for a integrated flame detector.At the last,the detector is tested with the relevant national standard.
