Taking the open ground torch system of Company K as the research object,this paper uses the methods of field survey,calculation,and numerical simulation to simulate the intensity of thermal radiation under different conditions such as the discharge of the torch,different wind speeds,and different altitude off the ground.The results are in good agreement with the relevant data of K Company.Based on the simulation results,the main factors affecting the thermal radiation intensity and the range of influence are analyzed.On the basis of the simulation results,an innovative method for determining the safety distance of open ground torch is proposed.The brief steps to determine the safety distance of the new ground torch are also proposed.Finally,according to the simulation results and the specific process of the proposed effective security measures.According to the results of numerical simulation,the influence range of the thermal radiation intensity increases with the increase of the torch gas release,under the same wind speed(2m/s)and the same height(2m).When the amount of torch gas discharged increased from422.8 t/h to 630 t/h,the impact range of 1.58 KW/m~2increased from 50m to 64M.As the wind speed decreases,when the wind speed increases from 2m/s to 5m/s at the same discharge volume(422.8t/h)and the same altitude(5M),3.2KW/m~2 has a reduced impact range from 80M to 50m.With the increase of the altitude from the ground,it increases first and then decreases.When the altitude from the ground increases from 0m to 15M under the same discharge volume(422.8t/h)and the same wind speed(5m/s),the altitude from the ground increases to15M.1.58KW/m~2 has an increased range of influence from 42M to 140m and a decrease to 95M.On the basis of this study,combining the actual situation of K Company and the relevant standards,it is determined that the safe distance of K Company's ground torch in normal discharge is 60m.The maintenance safety distance is at least 41m.This is basically consistent with the safe distance of the ground fire system currently being implemented by K Company.The accuracy of simulation and calculation is explained.According to the relevant standards and K company's situation,it is proposed to increase the area of the combustion area,increase the number of burners,use a burners with strong air absorption energy,increase steam combustion,optimize the structure of the metal fence,and remove stones from the bottom of the fence to increase the ventilation area.,increase mandatory ventilation measures and other rationalization proposals.
