In recent years, reactive dyes have abtained the approval of the industry with its excellent performance of dyeing and printing. Many dyes of cellulose fiber, such as sulfur, phthalocyanine and other dyes, due to the existence of environmental pollution and ecological security issues, have been limited or banned.Otherwise, the structure of reactive dyes do not contain carcinogenic aromatic amines,so its application is to be further expanded. So far, reactive dyes are mainly azo dyes. The synthesis methods of reactive dyes are simple, the raw materials are cheap and have high molar extinction coefficient, but most azo dyes have poor light color fastness;followed by anthracene dyes, their color is bright, and they are the the first choice of high-end fabrics for high light fastness, while most of them are the blue varieties with poor fiber affinity, low molar extinction coefficient. In the paper, according to the effects of chromophoreson their application properties and the actual demand for reactive dyes with excellent color fastness, the reactive dyes mainly contained three chromophores of 1-amino-2-sulfonic acid-4-(3-amino-2,4,6-trimethyl-5-sulfonic acid phenylamino)anthraquinone sodium salt,H-acid mono-azo and J-acid mono-azo which were introduced into the molecularby the condensation reaction with trichlorotrimethyls ine.The seven dyes were characterized by UV-Vis,FT-IR and 1H-NMR.The maximum absorption wavelength of these dyes was determined and the molar extinction coefficient was calculated. The dyeing and printing performance of seven reactive dyes were studied. The results showed that: 1.D-5,D-6 and D-7 had better dyeing and printing performance.D-3 and D-4 were more suitable for printing;2.In the dyeing process,D-1,D-2,D-5,D-6,D-7 were unaffected while Na2SO4 concentration was greater than 20 g?L-1 and Na2CO3 was greater than 5 g?L-1.In the printing process, the color yield of the seven dyes gradually decreased with the increase of Na HCO3 concentration, but the increase of the amount of urea was helpful to improve the coloration of the dye;3.seven dyes of the color fastness can meet the application requirements, washing color fastness, the friction color fastness are more than 4,and the dye light color fastness can reach 3 to 4 or more. The application of these three dyes in ink-jet printing was further studied because of the good dyeing and pr inting performance of Dyes D-5,D-6 and D-7.The effects of polyethylene glycol400,ethanol,ethylene glycol and glycerol on the surface tension and viscosity of the ink were investigated and the ink formulations of three reactive dyes were determined. The recommended ink formulations of the three reactive dyes,8% dye, polyethylene glycol 400 10%,glycerol 5%,ethanol 6%,polyvinyl pyrrolidone K-30 1%,EDTA-2Na,phosphate buffer solution, less than 2%.
