Abstract/Summary:
Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)represent a new type of crystalline porous organic materials.Due to their low density, large surface area, controllable structure, and facilely-tailored functionality,COFs have shown great promise in gas adsorption/separation,optoelectronics,catalysis,and sensing.Construction and application of functionalized COFs have recently become the research topic in this area.In this thesis, several binaphthyl-based COFs were constructed for their application in photocatalysis and asymmetric catalysis.Accordingly, the main research work was summarized as follows:1.Construction and application of binaphthyl-functionalized COF.By using binaphthyl-4,4’-ylenediamine as the functional building blocks,an imine-linked binaphthyl-functionalized COF(LZU-91)was successfully synthesized.LZU-91 possessed a well-defined long-range structure with a BET surface area of 780 m~2/g and an average pore size of 2.2 nm.Moreover, due to the conjugated nature of binaphthyl groups,LZU-91 exhibited strong absorption and showed photocatalytic activities in the visible light region.2.Construction of chiral dihydroxydinaphthyl-based COFs.Based on the successful synthesis of LZU-91,three dihydroxydinaphthyl derivatives were designed and synthesized as functionalized building blocks. Then,we attempted to synthesize chiral dihydroxydinaphthyl-based COFs via the imine-linkages.Meanwhile,the influence of the dihedral angle in the construction of COFs was investigated. After screening of many reaction conditions, several amorphous dihydroxydinaphthyl-based organic polymers were obtained.
