Totally 753 bryophyte samples were collected in karst bauxite of Pingguo country,Jingxi county and Debao country in Guangxi Autonomous Regions,China.Using the morphological classification method,112 species belong to 49 genera and 23 families,of which 6species are Hepaticae species belonging to 6 genera of 6 families,106 species are Musci belonging to 43 genera of 17 families and no Anthocerotae in research areas;44 species belonging to 25 genera and 13 families were found in phase ? of Pingguo country,49 species belonging to 26 genera and 14 families were found in phase ?and ?of Pingguo country,49 species belonging to 25 genera and 13 families were found in Jingxi bauxite,56 species belonging to 27 genera and 13 families were found in Debao bauxite.There were four types life-forms in research area such as turfs,wefts,mats and pendants.The turfs was the majority,accounting for 72.56% of the species,the pendants was the least,accounting for 2.65% of the species.There were 10 types flora elements in research areas.East Asia elements(20.59%)was the most,and East Asian and North Ameircan disjuncted elements elements(0.98%)was the least.The number of communities of bryophytes from 2 to 15 in different sample areas of 6 grads,abundant index from-2.467 to 4.197,and Shannon-Winner index from 0 to1.10557.There were the same trend in abundant index,Shannon-Winner and communities.That is to say when the abundant index was higher,the Shannon-Winner index and communities were showed higher at the same time.Abundant index,Shannon-Wiener and the number of communities were gradually changed from not exploitation and destruction areas to exploitation areas.In not exploitation area,every index was higher than exploitation areas.There were more communities and mix-communities in not exploitation areas,and the short turfs and pure communities bryophytes were priority in exploration.The bryophytes average mental content of 6 gradient were selected,Mg(1.438?2.418g/kg),Mn(0.21?0.548g/kg),Al(5.731?45.744g/kg),Fe(4.059?35.26g/kg),Ca(25.75?51.285k/kg)and Ti(0.075?1.980g/kg).The substrate average mental content were Mg(2.056?7.289g/kg),Mn(1.321?1.724g/kg),Al(12310?101920mg/kg),Fe(55.295?231.4g/kg),Ca(66.175?179.85g/kg)and Ti(1.796?12.29g/kg).It was showed correlation with the bryophytes metal content and substrate metal contant(P<0.05).The positive correlation showed with the communities,abundant index and Shannon-Wiener index(P<0.01).The bryophyte metal content or substrate metal content were showed negative correlation with the communities,abundant index and ShannonWiener index.It indicated that the substrate metals content trasfered by the number of communities with bryophytes,the abundant index and the Shannon-Wiener index in every gradient.The canonical correspondence analysis showed that different adaptation for different metal in different bryophytes,and different adaptation for different metal in the same bryophyte.The bryophytes can be used as indicator species in the study area.
