The book Shuli jingyun is a book compiled by Emperor Kangxi's imperial order,which gathered a large number of scholars including Mei Juecheng and He Guozong to sort out and summarize the advanced Chinese and Western mathematical theories under the supervision of Wang Yunzhi.On the one hand,Mei Juecheng 's grandfather was a famous mathematician known as the best mathematician in the country".Mei Juecheng got a good education from his father and his thoughts were also influenced by him;on the other hand,his research on mathematics was not only wide,his attitude and understanding of science were also a representation of the early Qing Dynasty.Therefore,in many parts of the book Shuli Jingyun,we can see the influence of Mei wending's achievement.At present,the academic research about Mei Wending and his academic thoughts' influence on Shuli Jingyun,is mostly the summarization of his achievements or the research about his influence of mathematical content in one aspect.There is still a lack of excavation and arrangement on how to choose,understand and compile the content in Mei Wending's works.Based on this,this paper will discuss it according to the following three parts:In the first part,Shuli Jingyun Xia Bian Volume 10 "Linear equations",the main content of this book was adapted from Mei Wending's Fangchenglun(Discussion on equation)Due to the different purpose of writing,the corresponding content is also different.Through the analysis of the equation content in Shuli Jingyun,it can be seen that Fangchenglun is the main source of the content about equations in the book Shuli Jingyun.Because the whole style and the compilation idea of Shuli Jingyun is different,they abbreviated the contents in the six volumes of Fangchenglun,they also changed the language expression,equation name,topic setting,equation expression and the way of starting the technical text,making the content of "equation" presented in "Shuli Jingyun" more basic and theoretical.In the second part,Volume 12 and Volume 13 of the second part of "Shuli Jingyun" discussed the Pythagorean theorem,and Volume 17 of the second part discusses the problem of solution of a triangle ".This part not only absorbs the content introduced from the west,but also absorbs the content of Mei wending's works.On the basis of previous studies,this chapter makes a corresponding analysis and comparison of the contents of Mei wending's works in mathematical essence.Through comparison,it can be seen that the absorption of Mei wending's pythagory and trigonometric theory in " Shuli Jingyun " is not only an extraction of content,it is more about the influence on the compilation style of the content of Shuli Jingyun.As a mathematical knowledge introduced from the west,Mei wending put forward his own view on Chinese and Western mathematics " geometry is pythagory ",And " Shuli JIngyun " embodies Mei wending's thought of geometry is pythagory " from the arrangement.The third part,Volume 27 “Regular polyhedron”,Volume28“Spherical inscribed regular polyhedron” Volume 29“regular polyhedron compatible with each other,Equal volume and different shape objects” and other contents mainly take Mei Wending's Jihe Bubian as the main reference materials.Through the analysis of the specific contents and compilation methods,it can be seen that the editor of mathematical theory reorganized and classifies the contents of Mei's book,and further interprets the research methods of Mei Wending and summarizes the knowledge of stereoscopic geometry at that time according to the compilation methods of western mathematical works.In general,the theoretical content of Shuli Jingyun and his related works are consistent,but Shuli jingyun is more systematic,detailed and concise in terms of language expression,content arrangement,illustrations,and the logical reasoning is stronger.However,whether Mei Wending's works or Shuli Jingyun,the overall mathematical values are still the pragmatic values shown in traditional Chinese mathematics.
